  1. I used to listen to OCR songs a lot in the past few years or so. Nowadays I often listen to music from this community, but not all related to ocr (e.g Shael Riley most recent album, Shnabubula chiptune stuff, Dragon Army inc., VGMix tracks and so on). Sometimes I listen the ost of games too, especially from Sega Genesis. Still listen to ocr, but there will be always other places with tons of cool music as well.
  2. Some of my originals from yesteryear. Very fun to make. http://www.fileupyours.com/files/149382/MoonLight%20Samurai.mp3 http://www.fileupyours.com/files/149382/Green%20Havoc.mp3 http://www.fileupyours.com/files/149382/Upon%20the%20Steel%20Clouds.mp3 http://www.fileupyours.com/files/149382/Blast%20Noised%20Machine.mp3 Enjoy!
  3. Hey, hey! Actually, I never had the goal in submitting it to this site. I am just sharing it. No all music needs to be in ocr, right? Besides, it was made two years ago; I don't have the file to it anymore. And it would suck if I tried to go back to it. There is no ending because apparently, I was supposed to fade it out. However it would hurt its current encoding.
  4. Yay! http://www.fileupyours.com/files/149382/Wario%20NES.mp3 Track based on the Toy Block Tower Theme from Wario Land 4. This game was released for Gameboy Advance, but if it was released for NES, how would it sounds? Original by Ryoji Yoshitomi. I hope you like it. :]
  5. Which are your actions when you don't find the ost from an evaluation?
  6. There is a weird-annoying sound at 0:03 which didn't fit well, in addition of being too loud. The piano at 0:17 is too dry and unnatural. Cool usage of night sounds in the extreme right, but the intense overuse of SFX gets extremely boring and irritating; especially that modulated-worm sound which unfortunately happens to appear in 0:32 and 1:16. Perhaps it can sounds better if you pitchs down the bassline eventually. Also the drum beat doesn't change its sequencing; vary it up and then, it will be less repetitive. Your track is full of sound effects, but lacks in instruments. Fill these spaces with more samples going on. Do not let it empty, give it life. It's a bit short. I think you can improve it by doing it wider and adding new ideas of your own. Not a bad song. You are in the right way to make cool things. Keep working and you will surely go far.
  7. I really like a lot of your ideas here. Your usage of percussion is intricate, interesting and well done. I also love the louder parts; I think they brought a strong, curious evil feel to the mix. Quite an improvement of your previous song posted because there are so many well executed transitions now. We have a very talented artist here. Certainly deserved the direct post.
  8. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00004/ This is awesome. Trust me!
  9. I never played Star Control 2 and never heard of Marc Vera until 'Lightyears Away', but I gave it a listen and it was amazing. Then I downloaded everything else from Marc Vera and it was a wonderful experience (never played the other games he covered too). I would choose n. 3, but I am not a number. I am a man.
  10. Nintendo DS is a good deal because it is not that expensive and yet a neat choice for the busy bodies. Furthermore this console has a lot of cool games and they're easily accessible in general. Unlike what happens with most of other consoles of this generation (which are all expensive, beyond hard access).
  11. I am a big fan of games and never got tired of them. Good games? Bad games? They were released in the past, and will in the future.
  12. I'm not sure how many people will check it out, but for those who do, I hope you enjoy it. Back in 2005 a person did a request to me about making some music from a game he was developing. The game is a web, flash one called 'Nati na Ilha dos Gorilas'. I composed the entire soundtrack and you can have it if you want as well as playing the game itself. Get the Music Play the Game Plus this rar file contains some sound effects I did for this game, but they were unused. The game is in portuguese. If you want it in english, sorry, not going to happen. -Txai
  13. Eumeatus...hahahah... Anyhow, I generally listen to stuff from games I never played, but I am sure to check the OST from these games too. There were rearrangements from Phoenix Wright I heard before hearing the OST or playing the game. It's a strange feeling, I tell you.
  14. At first, I wasn't really enjoying it, but after some few more listens I found it to be quite playable. Good job.
  15. Prot certainly improved his skills with this track. Definitely a keeper.
  16. I will keep my old one. It fits better to me than anything I looked at. Anyhow, nice work everyone. Love Larry.
  17. FL Slayer and plucked strings are never a really good idea. Both are just some awful and useless presets which people should never use. You can find better sounds in many places on the web, or start creating your own. And this is my main issue with this track. All instruments inserted here are as far as lame. The drum work is too quiet and dry. There is a bad use of that brass lead as a pad. The bass line is a bit rough too. Nothing creative in the arrangement. Do you really know what a ReMix is? This is basically the original with sample changes, repetitive tunes and a mediocre stereo field. You can put more effort to it if you want it better. It needs a lot of work to turn into something cool.
  18. I wonder when all this boring discussion will stop.
