  1. Love the track dude. Been listening to it for months. Awesome choice for your style.
  2. F'n Awesome Seb! "NS Design CR Series 4-String Electric Double Bass" works awesome as a lead for this tunage. There we go.
  3. Replayed it again about 2 1/2 years ago...still f'n loved it. Probably even more so. What was cool I played Crisis Core, beat it, and then immediately played and beat FFVII. I don't mind Cloud. I find it reasonable that he lost his mind. Anyone is a better main character than Vaan from FFXII.
  4. NES: Getting to the 2nd Continent in Zelda2 (i suck at platformers) PS2: Beating Zone of Enders 2 GameCube: Smash Bros Melee: Taking a life away from a professional gamer
  5. I think the problem is your initial posts just made some straight up generalizations about Macs and Logic and how "they are just better." When in fact, as you later stated, this was just your opinion. Would have avoided this whole mess if you directly stated they were your views from the beginning based solely upon your opinion. And to another topic Reason isn't as closed as it used to be. Audio recording and it's own plug-in format has being more of an open system than before. It's def a different cup of tea and not for everyone.
  6. Your best bet might be to demo these DAWs to start off with: Reaper (or Sonar, Logic, Cubase, Studio One) Live FL Studio Reason They all offer different workflows. See which one you initially like the most. Also maybe watch some tutorial videos on each. From a personal perspective I started out on FL Studio. Once I tried some other DAWs I realized FL really did not fit my work flow. So I changed and never looked back. That's why it is good to try a bunch now before you get too invested in any particular piece of software.
  7. Please don't evar shave ur beard! (or i will drive down to ur house and glue a fake on for u)

  8. Ah sweet. (was watching true blood finale last night) I should have a chance to jump on tonight. I always check to see if people are on the server.
  9. Hey dudes been trying to see when people are playing? Any good nights to jump on and play?
  10. Orchestral recordings are also some of the most heavily edited instrumental performances out there. Especially soloists.
  11. Supersaws...can't get enough of em. Saxophones too, I hope they make a comeback.
  12. Here's a list of Mitsuda songs sampled: http://www.whosampled.com/sampled/Yasunori%20Mitsuda/
  13. Happy birthday to you and your wonderful beard. Stay hairy my friend.
  14. XSLT is easy enough. Not too different from MXML, XML, HTML, or UiBinder. Use PHP at my day job as part of multiple different systems. One of of which is an Application system. I sent an email to Andrew to take a look at the requirements.
  15. What languages are used? Beyond the obvious one being PHP?
  16. Sorry for the reposting. I believe this is a good idea. And didn't want it to get stuck at the end of page 1:
  17. An idea for a suggestion: An Automated Submission Process. Someone fills out a form with their appropriate info: Handle, Name, Link to Remix, Source Tunes, Description etc... ALSO There could be a check box that if the song is rejected it would automatically be funneled into the WIP Forum. Where people could then add further comments. _______________ When completed this would send the track automatically to the judges panel. Where once there someone could Direct Post the song if it was good enough. Plus it would preserve the decision on the direct post where someone could read the remixers description of their direct post. This would save someone from having to go through the inbox and copy and paste everything. ________________ I am a Web Application Developer for my day job. I'd be willing to help out in some way. This is a pretty simple CRUD app that would not be that hard.
  18. In the first part of the post I am assuming SACD it referring to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Audio_CD The easiest way for any DSP function to increase quality in the digital realm is to "Upsample." Which is the same as Oversampling that some people with find on Synthesizers. Although the claim for winamp sucking would seem to be overstated: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=333955 Winamp itself can "Upsample" a sound source. On a side note filters are used in the DSP process for Upsampling.
  19. Vocal formants would be the frequencies that are present in the human voice. The presence of these certain frequencies can give you the sensation that a synth is "talking." They can recreate the Ooh Ah Eh syllables in the synth. That synth sound sound seems to have a slight vocal tonality to it. It might be a little less daunting to try and make a couple similar leads trying different techniques.
