  1. This is understandable and I partially agree(With everything but the snare. That's probably the one thing in the song that I think turned out fine) The way the songs tie together hasn't always been my favorite part of the song and is one of things I'd like to improve if I did a new version of the song with just TFIV being the source.(Since this was for DoD) When you put something together really quickly, don't always have time to look back on everything with a fine tooth comb.
  2. Looking back there are a few minor things I could improve on in this song. But it's held up well for something I did in like 10-14 days for Magfest X. I'm thinking of doing an entire Thunder Force IV arrange album someday and if I do I will definitely revisit this song and make an entirely new version or make this one even better. Hope you guys can enjoy!

  4. Such an awesome song! And a great arrangement/remix. The atmosphere is just so brooding.
  5. This is a really weird ,creepy and SUPREMELY AWESOME remix. The source melodies feel very recognizeable immediately and that helps to make this incredibly enjoyable!
  6. This remix may not appeal to everyone, but I hope some of you can enjoy it at least. Trying to find a new but faithful way to interpret such an often covered song (that's been done in just about every which way possible) is a tough thing to do. (Even more so, when it's something that means a lot to you personally) Looking back a year after I finished this song. There are a few things I could've probably improved on. But that's the beauty of time, you learn and grow more as you go on! Cheers!
  7. There need to be MOAR remixes of music from this game. Because in game these days the original music is really drab, mediocre and too repetitive(Not to mention is a bit of a mediocre showcase for FM synth). It shows it's age certainly, but this remix breathes new life into this game's soundtrack. I've been thinking of doing a remix like this of this song for a while since i've been replaying Wolf3D. But looks like someone beat me to it. And did it extremely well too. (Aside from some mixing issues. The leads have a bit too much high end and sound a bit piercing. Rhythms are a bit too bright as well, the clean guitars could've used that brightness instead I think) Great work.
  8. If you plan Orchestra stuff, the extra processing power goes a LONG WAY. I would look into getting 12 or 16 GB RAM if you plan on doing heavy heavy orchestration
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUL34RlKqqo http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/jq9z868g09/wicked_child_tgon_segment.mp3 The X68k FM version is still my favorite version of this song next to Dracula New classic. A swing version wouldn't be that hard to write either probably TBH, just getting a good recording of it without paying out the ass for live musicians.
  10. It wouldn't be too hard to arrange. Recording it and getting performers on the other hand...
  11. The notes sound about right from what I remember of the original song. The production is ok. Too much of it sounds overly robotic though.(The programmed parts) But this is one of my favorite Castlevania songs ever. And I really enjoyed this!
  12. Finally someone brought this up. Because I was SERIOUSLY PISSED how you people reacted to us trying to just give fans the opportunity to own a copy of our stuff. It was NEVER for money. I'm not even going to bother reading the excuses or "Reasons" you have for yours when you tore us apart basically. Sorry, that's just one thing I'm not and cannot be objective about. Because in the end, you only hurt the fans. At least we weren't asking for 15,000$ just to give people the chance to own one.
  13. Hey congratulations dude!

I found the thread finally, but it was a little burried hah

  14. Not gonna lie, I really didn't like how this started off. And the sequencing felt a bit stiff in some spots. But it got a lot better near the end. Which tastefully integrated the prelude in there with both themes. Honestly this reminds me more of Castlevania Lords of Shadow in somepots than FF. But I don't really see that as a bad thing.
  15. Thanks!

I'm glad people are liking it!

FF Is really important to me so I worked really hard to make it the best it could be!

  16. Yes many. And IDGAF what you think of me because of it.
  17. Hands down one of my favorites of the album. A faithful new version to the original song. Which is also one of my top favorite MM songs ever.
  18. Originally it had narration at that part, but we had a disagreement because some of the judges said it wasn't very audible but us on the project could hear it fine(Was distorted vocal narration that used the Intro narration from the actual game) I didn't feel like troubleshooting it at the time because I don't have a good recording mic and couldn't get a good second take to fix whatever issues there were. So yeah that's why it's weird, because it was originally designed around that narration. Without it, it probably sounds weird. /Shrug This was the first project I worked on and it was the last to come out of all them.
