I second OverCoat's kahvi suggestion. I specifically recommend Pece's 'The Riddle of the Universe'.

gameplay is actually pretty good. turbo would be nice, yes. so would music (dude, you realize where you're posting this, right?). i can't really get into the graphics though. they just don't feel... authentic. they feel less like a classic 8-bit game and more like a newer game with a super low budget and intentionally bad graphics. i dunno how else to really explain it, or what it is about it that makes it feel that way. maybe it's the colors, or the lack of detail (NES games had more detail than this) or maybe just the weird pixel shading that looks like low resolution photoshop anti-aliasing.

without looking at prices or doing any more in depth research, my vote's for saffire. focusrite makes some of the best pre-amps anywhere. pre-amps do make a difference. also i'm probably biased--i use a focusrite saffire le as my workhorse for both live and studio work

Yeah... Not really a fan of the forum titles. They do seem goofy and overenthusiastic. It's the exclamation points that ruin it. But otherwise, neat. This makes navigation much more smooth. Plus, to me, a self-proclaimed minimalist (read: huge douchebag), the less unnecessary satellite forums the better. Please note unnecessary. I'm not advocating the deletion of Off-Topic or PPR. Though with these newfangled prefixes they could easily be combined into one forum.
