Not sure if it is possible to post this remix here because it's a fan game, but might as well. Loved giving the original a new nature-esque coat of paint, as well as making it feel more complete (with a constructive beginning and end - sort of an adventure in a way). Probably my favourite remix produced so far. Thx in advance to whoever listens. Kindest regards, Metris

Earlier this month, I decided to work on a small remix album for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. So far, I have 4 tracks complete and 3 in the works in various styles. I'm not sure how many I will actually do, but I hope to have the album complete by May. I might submit a few, but this is mostly for fun and experimentation and I would appreciate feedback. You can find the mixes, along with a few others on my SoundCloud page.

Hullo OCR! I haven't really tried creating music in at least 7 years, thought it was time to give it a shot again now that I have a newer computer. Figured I'd practice with something simple, get the hang of things. Here is what I have so far, curious whether anyone has suggestions on what I can be doing better while I'm in the early stages. The percussion is definitely temporary, I plan on writing out more complex parts (as an ex-drumline member that's really what I'm looking forward to) Anyway, let me know what you guys think!: https://www.indiesound.com/track/49788

My cover of the song that plays during the most spoilerific part of Super Mario Odyssey. Also includes bits of Peach's Castle, Super Mario World's Main Theme, Mario 64's File Select Theme, and Jump Up, Superstar. Let me know what it needs in terms of production or arrangement so it can sound as good as possible! It's still missing a few backing vocals, but besides that it's about done in terms of recording.

Hey OC Remix folks! We are DrKrake vs Jellyfish. We've been remixing video game music for quite a while (since 2009), but never really felt the itch to submit anything to OC Remix. Instead, we had a short-lived run on Newgrounds and mostly only uploaded our tracks on YouTube on random occasions. For this Christmas, we decided to release all of our stuff in a big free package and did so in the Super Musical Entertainment System! It's a massive collection of 33 tracks spanning various electronic music genres - trance, goa, house, hardstyle, and everything inbetween. You can grab it (for free, of course) on Bandcamp: drkrakevsjellyfish.bandcamp.com Most (but not quite all) tracks are VGM remixes. As a little special for the OC Remix forum, I'd like to list all tracks with their original sources: 147 (Intro) - not a remix, but uses samples from F-Zero X (N64) and Nagano Winter Olympics '98 (N64) Welcome to Marihuana Kart - trancy remix of the Mario/Luigi/Royal Raceway themes from Mario Kart 64 (N64) Voll Auf Stern - short remix of the infamous Starman tune from many many Mario games Fuckin' Party - hardstyle-ish remix based on the Cameroon theme in Super Soccer (SNES) Snowland - trance-ish remix of the Frappe Snowland theme from Mario Kart 64 (N64) Finish Line - trancy remix of the Mario Circuit theme from Super Mario Kart (SNES) Super Club Bros - housy remix of the infamous main theme of Super Mario Bros (NES) Ein Erfolg - short remix of the Level Clear theme from Super Mario Bros (NES) Romanina - trancy remix based on the Romania theme in Super Soccer (SNES), uses Nina's voice sample from Tekken 3 (PSX) Stellungswechsel - short remix of the Change Court theme from Super Tennis (SNES) Tor für Deutschland - football goal theme based on the Ireland (nope, not Germany ) theme in Super Soccer (SNES) Clowns R Funneh - not a VGM remix, but a remix of the Clown College theme from The Simpsons Archives - psytrance-ish remix of the Archives theme from Goldeneye (N64) How High Can You Get? I remember hearing this remix, it is Mario Kart 64 for sure and uses a sample of Toad's banana hit scream repeating: It's a pretty fast paced song I wanna say dub step or trap in nature, later in the song it uses audio samples of Wario laughing as well later in the track. I have seen it in a few youtube videos (which I cannot find anymore) in joke MLG montages. Thing that sparked my interest was I was at Phoenix ComiCon this past Saturday in a tournament and they played it over the sound system in the tournament room and now it's stuck in my head again. please help, thanks EDIT: Found it, Aylen - Mvrio Kvrt Also the Youtube videos were the intro to ETC TUGS

"Instead, I focus on experimenting with and combining iconic themes to spark the listeners' imagination, creating new thematic and musical narratives. This is a method that I have refined through my piano works--Piano Collections FINAL FANTASY XII and Valkyria Chronicles Piano Pieces--and I hope that you enjoy discovering and rediscovering the classic music of the fifth generation of consoles!" Additional arrangers include lead Valkyria Chronicles orchestrator Nicole Brady, Tristan Coelho, and guitar duo With Ether, who have recorded an energetic medley from Grandia. The production of Legacy Sessions: GAME Generation 5 has been headed by producer Demetri Potiris, who has worked with both the Eminence Symphony Orchestra and the renowned sound studio of Hitoshi Sakimoto, Basiscape. His experience producing live game music events and recording sessions for original soundtracks like the Tactics Ogre remake, Tekken 6, and the Valkyria Chronicles series sparked his desire to produce Legacy Sessions, which has been planned as a series that will explore other gaming generations, including the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. Hi VGM enthusiasts. After i got my "Psy-castle" through and had some attention about it, i couldnt hold back my other projects waiting to be finished. I had one Banjo Kazooie remix going on which i submitted to OCR 20 days ago. Then i also had this castle version of SMW2 lying around too. So i finished it, and wanted to up it here before i eventually decided to submit it. So "Psy Castle" was castle theme from SMW, and here is my remix of castle theme SMW2. Its a completly different genre though, not electro like the other remix. Also, Im known as both B-laze and Fungist. My future projects will be "Fungist" Original source here: Here is the remix, the genre i had to place under "drumstep" which is a blend of drum&bass and dubstep(?) (Be aware that the latest version is uploaded on soundcloud. The version on youtube is 1 day older. i reup to soundcould because i wanted to fix a few mixing flaws. The melody is the same as in the game, it might get a bit boring after 4 minutes but i couldnt improvise too much with the main melody. instead is just slightly moved a few notes here and there hoping it doesnt get too boring. However the last part of the song is 100% improvised. Download track:
