Grand, faithful, yet innovative. I rather enjoy how the timbres reminisce the feel of the N64 while still having a distinctly fresh feeling. Its something like a condensed adventure through the rambunctious isle of the apes. It'll find a welcome place on my play lists!

For the opening, I felt like the source melody was buried in the background, so I was waiting to hear it be put in the foreground and that finally happened at :26; nothing wrong with that approach, I just was hoping the balance of the parts wouldn't be an issue like last time, and that concern was quickly put to rest. Nice work by Peíorele on the trumpet, and you can really feel the fun come through from Guillaume's arrangement. Really nice personalization of the theme and a great addition to the SoA album. Lovely!

Harpsichord sounds easy more up front and the live trumpet makes a huge difference. Definitely some great changes here! I will nitpick that the trumpet is probably a little too up front at times, but as a former trumpet player it didn't bother me too much. 
Overall I'm good to go on this with these changes. Thanks got getting back to us!

Oh dear lord, why would you remix ANYTHING from this turd in the rough?  I mean gem.  Yes gem.  Seriously though, this is pretty cool, lots of kick ass pitch bends and chip-tune love.  I really need to learn how to chip.  Nice work H. Lemon

Cool track that is at the same time atmospheric and has a hard-hitting edge. The main melody is very memorable and it's well used in the arrangement. The transition calls a lot of attention to itself, it's not like a smooth seamless transition, but I like djp's description of it, to me it feels like it achieves what it sets out to do and sections the song into parts very definitely, and I liked it. The guitar sound itself sounded a bit 'contained' to me, instead of being impressively aggressive, but at the same time I suppose it's more part of the style that was gone for and it sits fine in the mix once it's less exposed after the transition.

Hey all; just wanted to share some pretty cool news, for everyone here who didn't see the buzz on Facebook. This past Friday, my hometown of Syracuse held their annual "Syracuse Area Music Awards," also known as the SAMMYS. Local artists were celebrated per albums released during the previous year. Considering my remix project of American Pixels was launched last January, and I crafted it in Syracuse, I was nominated. I'm blessed to be able to announce that I actually won the award for "Best Electronica," and was able to use the platform to showcase the world of video game remixing (and game music in general) to a whole new audience!

It was awesome to be honored where I grew up, but it was doubly cool to take game music to a place that typically focuses on rock, jazz, and folk, ya know? It was a fun night.

Hey guys. As you can see, this is my first post here as I just created the account, but I've been with OCRemix for quite some time. Though I didn't have the use for my account here, after what happened recently I decided to create my account and create a post about it...
As some of you may know bLiNd and his great works in music industry, whether in game remixes or his sole tracks that he's created - he's a musician to the bone and by heart! Every track of his is special. In fact, he was the one that invited me into game remixes.
And recently I have found that he went through a lifebreaking incident - his whole home has been damaged in fire that broke out and he lost not only his place to live, but also pets and his way of living - musical equipment...
So I decided to create a post in the forum, as for some of you guys you may have know him, if you can or know someone that can as well back him up - please do so. We can't let Jordan's faith go away!

It's going to seem like cheating, but seeing that I hunted for source back when he posted this in the WIP board I'm going to say the source usage easily clears our bar. It's a medley, but it's one that makes sense as a stand alone track - each part seems to show progression of a journey, and there are elements of the main theme that tie it together at the beginning and the end. I very much enjoyed this approach.
It was brilliantly orchestrated when I eval'd it, and he took my advice and made it even more phenomenal with some more subtle touches to the humanization. Legitimately great stuff coming from Ganaé, here - hope to hear a whole lot more from him!

The new song by halc is not in the Secret of Mana: Resonance of the Pure Land album torrent, nor are the rest of the songs track numbers updated. I understand that the song wasn't originally on the album, but in the write up for the song in question, djpretzel says "When Secret of Mana: Resonance of the Pure Land first dropped, it didn't include this chill & mellow chipjazz ReMix of "Distant Thunder" from the one and only halc, due mostly to passage of time & some missed emails. Drew let us know, and we've since added it back to the album, where it rightly belongs."
Just letting you guys know that it isn't there as of today. 

Honestly, my only fear is that only those familiar with the source tune will truly appreciate what you've done here. That said, this is amazing for anyone who knows it and loves the game, as I do - 1:45-1:55 alone made me sit up and take notice, as I suddenly realized this was going to get even more ambitious than 'just' an ethereal take on an already ethereal theme, and man does this mix go places I never dreamed. The call-in/call-out of 4:35+ and interweaving of different instruments and levels is really thoughtful and at times approaches breathtaking. If there ever was a song to sit back and listen to in the dark of night while looking out the window at the stars, this is it.
Lastly, I'm aware this is a place for music, but I must mention the writeup by the remixer. Just crushed it.

It's 2017, MAGFest is over, and it's (past) time we got things back on track!
I'll be chatting with @JJT & @zircon - we may need some changes w/ our management approach, but we HAVE reviewed the initial round of WIPs, we'll be contacting artists where feedback is appropriate, and we'll be establishing a new timeline, soon.

I've never been the world's biggest Sonic fan, but I'll be damned if almost all the Sonic mixes on the site are amazing, and this miniature remix flood just adds more evidence.
You can argue that the ending is a little bit flat, but honestly I'd rather have what happened in this track then just a simple fadeout. Everything here is just so good (on the heels of two other remixes that are also JUST SO GOOD)… Like DimeTower said, we're not worthy of this groove.
Get listening – you're going to have fun listening to musicians have fun & with talent to spare.

@HoboKa Can you try logging out & back in and seeing if that fixes the issue? I've seen it a couple times but it went away after an authentication cycle...

My therapist puts orchestral samba for background music in the waiting room every time and I'm gonna present this to her playlist.

@Jorito thanks man. Im sorry if i came off as angry or vitriolic but my mind is not in a good place atm and im kinda releasing my pain in places it doesnt belong. I appreciate your candor and helping me be a part of this awesome project. Larry has my wav and comments so all should be well and good whenever the changes go live. Being ex-staff and director i understand the struggle and effort these projects take and im sorry if i personally offended or downgraded the effort you put in, my mind is very clouded at the moment. Thanks again for working with me and im glad i can still be a part of this album. ♡

I think you did a really good job. It's a remix more beautiful than 2B herself and has a very emotional impact. It's also quite calming.

Nice work on the trailer.  I'll admit I felt a giddy little thrill at hearing my track on it. 

That trailer man... so hype. First time hearing the other work that's gone into this and it's all sounds so good! Can't wait!

With the go ahead from @djpretzel, I waited until their OCRemix Panel was complete this past Saturday at MAGFest where they would premiere this exclusive preview of this album: Arcadia Legends! Now that the MAGFest panel is over, it is time to unveil the trailer to the rest of you who didn't make it to MAGFest this year! Hopefully you all enjoy the sneak peek soundbytes in this trailer and get hyped. For those who were on the fence of contributing to it, guess what? We still got a few more tracks left to claim!
