  1. Hey guys, I recently completed an arrangement of Song of Storms for solo piano. Still polishing up the sheet music, but I will release it eventually. I love the original tune and I really think its one of the most memorable pieces in video game music history. With my arrangement, I wanted to expand the piece a little bit harmonically and add some delicate ornamentation in the melody. The end result felt more like a piece of Breath of the Wild, than something from Ocarina of Time. I'm considering doing versions of all the ocarina tunes from the game in the future. I think it would be fun to expand on them in a similar vein. I had a lot of fun working on this, and I hope you guys enjoy it too. Thanks for listening!
  2. Hey guys, I recently completed a little arrangement of "Secret of the Forest" from the SNES class Chrono Trigger. This piece gets covered and arranged fairly often, but I decided I wanted to try my hand at it. A lot of the best covers for this piece either tend to be either a full replication of the original instrumentation or a solo piano piece, so I decided to meet somewhere in the middle and approach it as a piano and flute piece. The result is something that I hope is simple, approachable and a little elegant, while still retaining what made the original piece by Yasunori Mitsuda so special. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we loved working on it. - Daniel.
  3. New version on the soundcloud play A hard rock and a bit of progressive kind of song by me and friend. Arrangements and composing by me, lyrics, vocals and mixing by friend
  4. Hey guys, I've been playing FF9 a lot this week since it was rereleased on PS4. I had forgotten just how fun and memorable the music was from this game. The battle theme is especially fun and I love how it serves as a throwback to all the other battle themes in FF history before 7. I didn't really see that many solo piano arrangements out there, so I decided to write one and play it to some game footage. Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend everyone!
  5. I've been working on a new EP with lots of chiptune elements that will be releasing in December. I thought I'd share a little sample of it. The EP will be a mix of chiptune elements, acoustic piano pieces, ambient electronic music and analog synths. Hope you guys like it! I'll be updating pretty regularly on my channel as we head to release. Hope you all are having a great day!
  6. I`m studying playing piano for 10 years and now looking for new pieces to perform .I have already played the most beautiful original pieces from FF VI VII VIII IX and Chrono cross(Terra, celes, aerith, ffvii main theme, Find your way, Succession of witches, Blue fields, Eternal harvest, Scars of time and many others) and some of the remixes (Life without parole of DHSU, stony eyes of shnabubula, Jenova on classic piano etc). I like calm, eerie or sinister pieces with strong and distinct climax and clear melody line. So i`m asking for help if anyone know original pieces or remixes from other games with similar style, emotions or atmosphere already performed on piano or arrangeable ones.
  7. I wanted to produce a synthwave arrangement of the source but couldn't help using "organic" instruments for the leads and drums. I thought it could be interesting to try and find a right balance between synth and organic sounds -- keep those guitars, piano and drums and use only synths for the arrangements (which I'll start exploring way deeper when I find someone with a decent knowledge of synthwave music willing to help me ^^'). Original Source: Remix: I visualized Sonia telling her newborn son the tale of her adventures -- like it's a bedtime story -- when remixing this. Feel free to share feedbacks and whatnot :3
  8. Once again, I decided to try to experiment with style and arrangement to make a unique take on a classic VGM theme! If I were to give it a title, it would probably be something like "Hunting for Ridley". Whadya think?
  9. Hey, This is a piano arrangement from ff10 ; Twillight and The Deceased Laugh. https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/ff10-the-dream-is-clearing I've written this years ago, but was blocked on the recording. Now, I've a better synthe and I've recorded this in numeric. I feel the result largely better, but I'd like another listenning to judge if now the recording quality acceptable.
  10. Basically a piano rendition of Great Fairy Fountain where I took some of the motifs and structures of Chopin and combined it with the melody of the original song.
  11. My (vaguely) christmas themed piano arrangement of Stardew Valley's Nocturne of Ice and Winter Festival music.
  12. In celebration of the announcement that The Last Of Us 2 is coming our way, here's my Piano Arrangement of Gustavo Santaolalla's The Path (A New Beginning) from The Last Of Us. I hope you enjoy it!
  13. Hello, You will find one of my compositions. Hope you like it Don't hesitate if you have any comments. Best, Leonis
  14. Here is a classically inspired piano single by Adam Driskell Full song in youtube video. Enjoy!
  15. Don't know if this counts as an actual game remix, but you never know if the background to the newest Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Trailer is going to be part of the OST... anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this piano cover I made of it
  16. Aside from just changing the velocity of the notes of the piano, what could I do to make the piano VST TruePiano sound more authentic, or at least get close to sounding authentic? This section below has reverb and the note velocity has been changed to give it a non-robotic sound. But is there anything more I can do to make it sound realistic? Update
  17. A couple of piece I arranged for piano and voice (lyrics written by Ashley Lynn Watts). This is my first time arranging for piano and voice in this manner. I am curious to what all of you think?
  18. Hi,here's my last music, what do you think? Adding an other one :
  19. I've been listening to the original Lavender Town theme lately, and I've been thinking about how amazing it would be to hear a ragtime piano version of it. The original song (if you need a refresher or haven't heard it before) is here: And the idea that I've been envisioning would be similar to this guy's (Martin Spitznagel) rendition of a Mario medley, found here: I would try and play it myself, but I'm pretty musically challenged, so I figured I would post my idea here and see if anybody out there would be interested in making it a reality. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope I'm not the only person interested in this idea! -SheepyCow
  20. Yo! I made a cover about Phoenix Wright series. The song name is True Evening of Grief (Reminiscence). Actually this time it's fully a piano arrangement and recorded it with my Yamaha keyboards. It's one of my favorite songs from the series and a very sad one too. With this cover i tried to bring some certain emotions out :). Here is the cover: Here is the original one:
  21. Hey everyone, Here is my latest addition to my audio engineering portfolio. The arrangement is by Andy Gullahorn who is a great singer songwriter. Check out his site at www.andygullahorn.com. I am pretty happy with how this mix came out and was curious as to what people thought. All of the instruments were recorded live.
  22. Hello, I want to work gamedev. Just listening and critize, rate my music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVVHO023feM
  23. A piece I threw together and recorded at my house, I'm just looking for feedback on the composition more than the recording standards itself, But pointers on how to record are well taken as I don't really do Mixes. It was recorded in audacity too make it that much more disgusting. But thank you to everyone who listens too this, it's probably the first video game thing I have recorded properly in a while, and yes All parts bar the drums are real instruments, recorded one over the other.
  24. Been a big fan of this site, and I've been mixing since I was a teen. Just decided to drop my remixes here now. This one's basically a slower dance/house remix of Topo's Groove Heaven theme from Brave Fencer Musashi. Enjoy! Title: Rodent Raveyard (Topo's Groove Heaven Theme from Brave Fencer Musashi) Genre: House BPM: 130
