diamondfalcon Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I love the part at about 4'30 when the tune from Set Sail is brought in guitar! This song is awesome! Quote
Alexzander Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 I am officially adopting this as my theme for the Universal Offense Initiative. Why? Because it is just that good and evil at the same time. Quote
Bummer Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Diddy has messing around far too long, I believe KKR feels it that way too. This remix just steams! The original was my favorite of the whole game, so now when Pro here made a great mix of it, it´s just marvelous. I am mostly a guy wanting some peace and quiet with some smooth orchestral flowing in my ears, but after a while you needs some action to get something done, Pro has really succeded on that one, this is stuffed with with action, THIS would be a great boss-track. KKR is a fat oversized crocodile with moodchanges, his track should be something that bursts the speakers. The 24th May, Protricity brought that bad guy some justice. Great strings, guitars, synths, drums, beats and all the other stuffie doo-hickie that makes this mix what it deserves to be. You really are the Pro. Quote
Falstaff Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Wow, what a song. I registered my account here just for people like you and songs like that. If you ever start or are already producing music for publication beyond OCReMix, like in games or for albums, let us know. Quote
Latency Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Man, I really enjoyed this mix. If OCR had a toplist feature, this definetly would be at my #1. The electronic drums were absolutely perfect and fit right in with the beat. Quote
Chickenwarlord Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 This mix is totally worth every byte. Never before has a pirate boss kicked so much ass. Synths seem to be perfect for the parts they are playing. If there is a way Protricity could've improved this mix, I'm definitely missing it. Quote
Jaybell Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 OH MAN THIS MIX IS JUST AWESOME ON SO MANY LEVELS. When it starts, you're thinking "oh man sweet orchestral cool i guess", right? Then it builds up, slowly, and THAT SYNTH COMES IN. Gets me every time. And the drums come in and they're all crazy heavy industrial and shit. And then the source comes in, and the rest, as they say, is history. And don't even get me started on when it transitions to Run, Rambi, Run. The ONLY problem with this mix is that the first section seems to go on for a good long while. Unlike Birdcussion, though, you don't find yourself going "oh six minutes are over already?" It seems to pass by slower than Birdcussion did. Now, whether or not this is a bad thing is in the eye of the beholder; slower could mean more time spent with a super sexy mix, or it could mean the mix becomes more boring and drawn out. I really hate myself for saying anything bad about this mix about this mix, though. Because it's awesome, if you didn't catch that already. Quote
Ranch Doritos Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 This song was so fudging Hawt I can't stand it!! Job WELL done!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Snatcher Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This could quite possibly be the best remix in this community. Quote
a_d Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 this song brought back memories. Sounds like Protricity used the source tune and re-sampled it and added a little flare and percussion. The result is amazing Quote
SirRus Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 but nobody has kicked as much ass in a song before or since Prot made DKC2 "Krool Intentions" BOOM Quote
shadow_tesla Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I had to listen to this song half a dozen times to fully comprehend how awesome it was. Favorite song of ALL TIME! Good job once again Protricity. Quote
Nekofrog Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 funny story: i finished my dkc2 project mix last night, and couldn't think of a name for it. Then I thought "holy shit I have the perfect name, krool intentions. it's a play off the movie cruel intentions" and then when i suggested it i was shot down and told prot already used it D: FUCK YOU PROT YOU FGT Quote
Sir_Downunder Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I went back and listened to this after a long time. It kicked ass then, and it kicks ass now. Quote
Crulex Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Oh, sweet jesus. This is........whoa.....man. I couldn't even think of a good review to give when I heard this. It was just too much greatness at one time. So much good stuff in one six and a half minute song and it blew me away! I didn't even realize "Run, Rambi, Run" was used for a long time after I heard it until someone mentioned it. And the name is just as cool. Quote
Overdriven Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 WOW. I don't even know where to start. THIS. MIX. IS. AWESOME. I guess that's enough said. Protricity has done an excellent job yet again. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Pretty cool mix, I like the soundscape a lot, and the clever shifts in tone and tempo. The synth guitar actually sounds really good, and fits in well with the rest of the proceedings, and the source is of course excellent. Some minor production issues are noticable, but the song is so strong it doesn't really matter. The track is pretty long, but there are always new things going on. Great stuff! Quote
Monobrow Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I think this remix is way better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdMTKa-P9rQ Quote
5!D34RM Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I think this remix is way better.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdMTKa-P9rQ haha that's hilarious. I was giggling like a school girl. I love Proctricity's mix, he's a legend in my eyes. He's the reason I started checking back to OCremix religiously way back when. I also have a special attachment to this song because I listened to it heavily when my ex and I were going off to college. Quote
Black_Doom Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Of all Prot's DKC2 tracks on OCR this one is easily my favorite! The blend of crunchy industrial percussion, dynamic orchestral elements (gotta love those intense string attacks!) and sweet synths is just incredibly hot. The song is almost 7 minutes long, but it always stays fresh and interesting with all the clever transitions and tempo shifts. Especially love the section starting at 3:56 - nothing but pure face-melting awesomeness! I guess this song is now stuck forever in in my head... and in the top-50 of all songs in my player Mind-blowing stuff right here! Quote
Ronald Poe Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 This is great and very creative. A real classic remix (it's from 2004) and makes good use of the sources. You could say it K. Rool's (Get it). Quote
