Hey y'all! Long time no see. Given the somewhat irregular output I've had recently I wanted to make sure this was kind of a big thing before I posted in GenDisc (If this doesn't count, I throw myself to the mercy of the mods). I've been pretty busy going back to school and getting ready to have a kid here pretty soon, but I wanted to finish a song and make a video before the baby comes. Believe it or not, my (seven month pregnant) wife actually helped out a lot on the video side of things and made the video shoots of the pumpkins possible. Anyway, I wanted to post this here because, to be honest, my mindset while making this song was very similar to how we do ReMixes here; take the original and do an original arrangement of it. This is an actual remix and I'm sharing it. It's a Final Fantasy themed mixture that took many creative liberties but I think the result is cool. So, I realize I haven't been on here in QUITE some time. However, I feel that I've honestly grown as a remixer/composer since the last time I've been here. Now would I say my work is submission worthy? Ehhh, not yet, but I'm on my way. This right here is my proudest remix yet. I mixed Ryu's Kobu and original themes together for a Marvel Vs. Capcom Overhaul series I'm doing. I have a Jedah one up, too but I'll put that up later. I'd def like some feedback and want to know what you guys think about it and I hope you all enjoy it! -
Hey all. I have a request. I have a song from Final Fantasy Legend III titled "Dungeon Theme" that I want so badly to be remixed. Something that starts off with the actual theme, Gameboy music and all, and progresses into metal, getting gradually heavier and more epic. This is a dream I've had for so long, yet, sadly, I possess not the talent for such an endeavor. If anyone could make my dream come true, I would be eternally grateful. Hey guys, I haven't posted anything in a while but I wanted to get some feedback on this remix of mine. I was inspired after hearing the original song and wanted to create a synth version of it. I think it turned out pretty well but I feel like it might be missing the 'epic feel' of the original. Obviously the production quality for League of Legends in much higher but either way I wanted all of your opinions on how I could improve the piece. Thank you so much for listening! A little remix I did of the intro of a Super Nintendo video game called Top Gear 3000. I loved playing this game and I think everyone that also enjoyed it can agree, the music was pretty awesome. I just had fun with remixing it since music is a hobby of mine. I was hoping to give it a darker feel to try to hype up the listener and put you in the seat of an alien death race. Haha. Well I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

Hello there! Before I prepare to send in my "resubmit", I would like to seek some guidance from the folks here on the forums. I'll include a link to the judge's comments below this paragraph. The focus of the critique was the production side of things, as I had numerous issues with balance (EQ, volume, panning) that needed addressing. I'm happy to hear any ideas you all have about the composition itself and the instrument choices, but my main motivation for coming here is help with the production work - mixing, mastering, etc. Since reading their feedback, I've been hard at work reproducing my track to fix the issues they mentioned and a few of my own. I want to know what you guys think and if you have any other suggestions for improvement. Thanks for listening! 1. The original idea of this tune has gone through the grinder a couple of times, and it was gently suggested that perhaps a different tack might help. My VERY first attempt at Epic FootSteps actually incorporated both walkabout themes from Dragon Warrior 2, and this new version is the second walkabout theme, as opposed to the first. I also add that this is obviously not close to completion, I'm looking for some feedback;) I haven't fiddled with EQ/Mastering yet. I also ask that it be listened to with something that uses ASIO for playback. This is the new version of my orchestral remix of Guile's theme. I Started over completely from scratch and have taken the critique I received on the old version into account, but I still feel that it isn't quite "there" yet, somethings missing. I'd love some feedback on this, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction. So a friend of mine challenged me to remix this theme in the Goa / Psy Trance style. Well, I like a challenge. So, here is my first attempt at Goa Trance.
