The thing about 00 was that it isn't finished. They're making a movie for summer 2010. That should bring about a lot of the potential they were missing.

The second half of 00's second season was too focused on copying the horrible soap opera that was Zeta Gundam. No anime needs to copy Zeta Gundam. Ever. Lots of teenage whining and shallow romances.

Except Anime movies somehow have less budget than their TV counterpart.

Anime movies suck.

I remember Gundam Wing being awesome. Also 08th MS Team and G Gundam.

08th MS Team, Gundam 0080 War in The Pocket, and Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory are about all there is. I guess you'd want to watch the original Gundam for a reference point to know what's going on though.

So, I'm almost done rewatching Gundam SEED Destiny and I have to ask, can someone remind why we're supposed to hate it so much? I've found it to only be pure awesome the second go around, as opposed to being dissatisfied with it the first time.

Gundam 00 was pretty good, though I was trying to watch it on Syfy and they're not too good with handling animes... they would randomly change up their schedule and play a couple episodes on a different night, or suddenly switch to playing 4 episodes a night instead of two without any notice at all. Before I had my DVR there were about 2 weeks where I was recording Gundam 00 on my VCR and I only ended up recording the regular hour of programming they had and just being generally confused as to what was going on the next week when I missed two episodes without knowing it.

Not to mention I read that Syfy cuts the credits sequences off, as well as any extra animation that followed, which still lead to confusion even though I was DVR'ing each episode.

All and all it was a pretty good anime with plenty of interesting characters, mecha design, and some pretty amazing technology like the orbital elevator.
