  1. Why do I get the feeling that he's lying? If you checked my profile page on VGmix 2, his profile was a copy/paste job to make me look like an idiot white guy. Hopefully, he'll understand what I'm truly about once he catches me onstage somewhere. Asian Canadians have it hard I know. EDIT: I'm glad the new site has song editing with more features to them. I'm also into the random encounter thing for reviews. I'm hopping to keep them shorter and cut down on the steak compared to what Rexy and Liontamer have to offer in words of reviews. If Mr Kaufman lets me back in, I'm only releasing collaborations with some of my other friends involved, and my posts (if any) won't be pages like 2 years ago. I have no internet connection at home and will be posting from an internet cafe if I have enough money to do so. To all who hate me, you're very lucky I'm in this vulnerable spot regarding access to the internet. I have a busy life just like most of you and I have no time to reply to petty insults and racial comments against me. My skin has thickened, and my patience has grown. God bless, A-Ron PS One question for the haters: Are you willing to do in the name of truth, what the world might do for a lie?
  2. Wow, I'm loving this. The dynamics are over the top. Very well done. BTW, virt and DJP actually "shook hands." Way to go on a fresh start. I'd love to see the day Jake submits something here again...nah. Actually I'm kinda skeptical that's going to happen knowing him "personally."
  3. Is that on the link with the patch file on it? I must be like trippin' or something (Strongbad style).
  4. I would if I had a DSL internet connection or if there was a FFXI game installed at an internet cafe.
  5. Yeah, I plan to edit the oggs and put in house music I collected that would jive with the levels. I've played the demo before that only had stage 1 and it was pretty good. I also like the music updates by Gecko and Jaxx. Somebody really needs to put a mirror up for Bomber Games as the regular server keeps going down because of this one 71 MB download alone.
  6. Nice. A friend brought a SNES over and we pretty much took the ol' Mario Kart for a spin 7 hours straight. Oh yeah, I can't forget the New Years rap collab I did with some other dudes, and my cousin doing nasty karaoke with Usher's "Yeah." He couldn't sing well, but it was worth watching.
  7. Here's what I do most of time in Zelda: -circling around the environment for solutions to dungeon puzzles/hidden items -frantically attacking enemies and not hurting them half the time -walking Those things lead to fun, but they aren't often in themselves. Games actually exercise my brain if they're diffucult. I think by saying that, if you want a game where you don't have to think or exercise the reflexes in your fingers and arms (or legs if into DDR), you will not find one, unless it's a freeware fan-game online. Go back to playing the first Super Mario Bros. Problem solved.
  8. Yes, old skool vibes are awesome here especially when incorporating some of the NES arps! That gets you high points right there. I especially loved in terms of composition the way you blended all Mario themes here including the pulling down of the flag. Excellent work. BTW Are some of those beats Magix Musik Maker 7 samples? I've gotten rid a those a long time ago after my second mix here and my first VGMix 2 release (which has the second beat which starts at 0:09). Ah, well, it's not the samples that I'm judging. It's the way you used them. I'd reccomend limiting the royalty free loops from E-Jay or Magix and just make your own beats. Other than that, awesome. Woo, ho hooo, yahooooo! I love it! Toodles! 9/10
  9. Yeah, I'm just going to miss it (Boxing Day is not a holiday where I work). I'm heading to West 49 after my shift to get one more pair of slacks.
  10. KJ52 Remixed Album and free instrumentals to practice underground rapping over.
  11. The best of the funkiest musicians I've ever known. I hope Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt weren't in the same room with him wearing a gadget tuxedo yesterday. Joking aside, RIP, funky-man. This'll get me listening to your tunage more often.
  12. Up for the U (easy to get to), not for the bar scene (hard to get out of before; now it's hard for me to get back in). I'll bring free CDs of my tunage as "tracts" for whoever shows up. St. Vital represent...as well as Christ.
  13. I dont' like it just because it takes up too much RAM on my computer, even with 1 GIG RAM and 2 GHz. I'm glad I'm not hooked up to the Net from home.
  14. Not to be offensive or anything, but tell that to the people waiting for the Wii on Sunday just to get the cards to download classic NES games...(uh oh! Throw this one in the Wii thread). I feel sorry for them in a way.
  15. Isn't there a rumour going around via "Globe and Mail" that Sony's still putting out the console dispite bugs with wrong images and audio displayed while playing PS 1 and 2 games?
  16. Wow! I love this song. The drums are so amazing as well as Jill's vocals. It's almost as if a zyko/destiny collab has some competition. Excellent job! One question: Via what
  17. Yes! They're still comin' back with the Vince Guaraldi soundings! Keep up that very smooth "New Orleans'-type" a jazz! 10/10
  18. No thanks. I'm not going to risk getting flattened by haters for telling the truth about secular rap music. Different Aaron. That's coo. I've had people spread rumours that I'd be crashing events. That's why I had to comment. But right now I'm too busy with work and recording. I really need to change my user name and start a fresh clean slate out, but it won't happen guarenteed. BTW Prot's going?!? Send me pictures if it's true! I'm not that gullible. I know he won't have a good time if he shows up there.
  19. No thanks. I'm not going to risk getting flattened by haters for telling the truth about secular rap music.
  20. Can people announce side projects like colaborations for albums or release of non-OCR related material? No, I'm not done my second rap album yet, and it may not be released here.
  21. Wicked! It's got that happy latin electronica feel. I especially loved the snaping fingers at 2:24. 10/10
  22. The synth layouts remind me of DaRude's song Sandstorm, just more unique with humanized arps. Good job. 8/10
  23. "Oh, Hyrule, I stand on guard for thee." I just feel like standing and saluting a crowd of patriots while singing this. It feels like a national anthem. The medley of the title track and the dungeon fits well. The panning techniques with the guitar and the drums remind me of some of goat's tunage. Excellent! Keep releasing these types of songs. 9/10
  24. I'm glad dj pretzel was humble enough to say he's not a perfect singer, but for his attempt in a first collaboration, this is pretty good. I remember his vocal Luna mix from long ago where he did the singing there. It was much better than this song, but the actual lyrics themselves are very well written as pixietricks stated already. As for Geo's guitarwork: fantastic! Reminds me of a Fred Penner ballad from the 90s. If Dave can continue practicing to sing (he does have potential BTW don't get me wrong), I'll definately look forward to listening to his future works. -A-Ron
