And now for something completely different: http://www.savefile.com/projects/808711139 Aaron Parsons: Real Skool 4 Ma Peg People Real Hip-Hop Real Beats Changing Your Life Forever Absolutely Free! Ignore the fact that I'm half-white and Asian, the pre-concieved impressions that it sound old-skool when it's really East Coast Underground, and also all the price tags and banners, and you'll enjoy the album especially the song "Waste of Space." See site for track listing and details!

Yup, I made a new one, the rest speaks for itself: http://www.savefile.com/projects/808711139 Still keepin' it real.

OCR01757 - Streets of Rage "Elevation [groovepump mix]"
A-RoN replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Very well done. The mix itself is very catchy and stays true to the source. Good job. Love that bit with the distorted fade in. 9/10 -
Nicely put, Thin Crust. May the blood of Jesus cover all infected areas as it never fails. We render the powers of darkness in bLiNd's body terminated in the name of Jesus. Lord, send your healing power over his body, for the devil came to steal kill and destroy, but You're up in here to pass life and life more abundantly. The powers of darkness have no authority over his body, May the doctors witness a miracle wether he makes it or not. Kingdom come, God's will be done! Let him know that sorrow lasts a night, but joy comes in the morning, God. Give him supernatural strength in his natural weakness. In Jesus' name, Amen. P.S. To JaDE ARaN HaRuNo, If you believe that bLiNd will get over this infirmity, take him to a place in Florida called Lakeland, where an annointed man of God named Todd Bentley (who I met personally) may be able to have God use him as a vessel to give bLiNd healing.

As A Musician, What Is Your Greatest Achivement

Go get the album FREE at www.reverbnation.com/aaronparsons Shameless self-plug! -
NO And here's why. (Note: I did not make the song even though it sounds like myself. But I strongly agree with what the rapper from Alberta's saying about hip-hop today. Hip-hop is used as a fighting voice for the weak not to glorify bling. And real battle raps actually have honour to back. This is just plain rude, man.)

OCR01685 - Final Fantasy VI "Dirt Devil"
A-RoN replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
This is excellent! The beginning beat overlaping the NES drum break reminds me of alot of Canadian rap music that deserves to make it big (Nifty, Swollen Members, and Short-top to name a few). The piano arrangements are top-notch; filty and grimey on the low octaves (just the way I like it, it`s too bad you can`t make it sound like it`s from vinyl. Only sampled crates can give that effect). The pizzacato strings are proffessionally done considering they`re fast. Congrats on your success. It`s more than the fact that your on-line rep smells terrific! 11 out of 10! Yup, that`s right! -
Rayman Remix Album - would you be interested?
A-RoN replied to Flexstyle's topic in General Discussion
I'd give it a shot, of course, I'd need to check out the original soundtrack first, which sounds quite awesome. If anyone needs a recording of the original (or rendition of the) soundtrack for reference, listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z9Hm19H-3I&feature=related (sorry no downloads) -
OCR01674 - Top Gear "Rockabilly ~ Dark Gears ~ Surfing Gear"
A-RoN replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I've heard these guys on VGmix X. Like the other tracks this one's very well arranged and has a novel feel to it. As said before, some of the transitions are rough and a few guitars there are a little loose in terms of rythum, but all in all, you guys keep things upbeat and bright. I'm satisfied with this mix, but ready for another submission from you. Keep it up! -
I'll be there. Just not in the forums or reviewing anything.

Dert Floyd - The Westside of the Moon - http://www.dertbeats.com/df.zip This hip-hop producer has grimey written all over him! You'll hear some great sampled stuff as well as other types of modern clubbie type beats. Note that the tracks are beats and there's only one song with rap in it. A treat for anyone into the classics like myself.

Yup, I've released another music project. I'll let the rest speak for itself since I get in trouble for bragging on my music. http://www.zshare.net/download/51898888d2d858/ Go to www.myspace.com/askaron4wisdom. The mix is the first seven tracks.

It's a part of the Address to Earth Mixtape from back in May featuring my man, Ant B who was recently wed , and Aposto, a cat who's rapping not only comes from the best group of books on the planet. 1st verse is Ant B, second verse is Aposto, 3rd verse is myself. Take the lyrics with a grain of salt. A-Ron ft. CT Crew - The Second Comin' - 3.85MB If you want the whole thing go to: www.reverbnation.com/aaronparsons and click on the down arrows beside each song or www.myspace.com/askaron4wisdom just to listen to it. Underground/Hardcore/East Coast at it's finest, a style I've been trying to achieve since day one! Finally...

OCR01649 - Final Fantasy VII "Scenes from a Memory"
A-RoN replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Yeah, Carbon Dog, I was thinking Mega Man-ish, but it's very well done. I love the arrangement of the synthetic rock patches! Excellent! -
OCR01646 - Doom II "No Man Is an Island"
A-RoN replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
As quoted the writing in the song alone is fantastic. It tries to move away for the original arrangement but keeps coming back which gives it most of the points from me. Great guitar work, excellent reverse effects, and you get top points for how it's written. 10/10 PS And just for the record and a shout out to Reece Riley (Terminator): DOOOOM 2 REEEEEEEMIIIIIIIIIIIIX! -

If anyone's looking for great underground east coast hip-hop samples (stuff none dirty south cats will be willing to kill to have), THIS is the ultimate Canadian source of pure hip-hop melodic samples, stabs, and hits: http://www.motionsamples.com/catalog.php Loops are even chop and screwable, and the 70s hip-hop loops are legal for sampling if you want something more traditional. I give the hip hop section in this site 10/10. Buy now! Don't regret! -
MP3 players.which do you use? and why?
A-RoN replied to prophetik music's topic in General Discussion
RCA Lyra, simply because it's affordable. I also prefer using the PSP to play mp3s but I'm switching to iPod after I save money. -
It may work for you, but with electronics, sadly, I have to get burned before I downgrade anything besides a computer.
-
Especially with 2D games that were supped up. Astonishia Story was good, but the loading times for spells and arrow hits and benign squash animations for mice and scorpions were terrible. Also, downgrading should NEVER EVER be done unless you do LOTS of research first. That's probably been covered already.

To the mods: please redirect this post to this forum section. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 I'm impressed. I like the way most of the songs are composed especially the forest theme. Cool!

Holy crap...I have so many friends who love FF7. I'll be sending an e-mail out and they'll be many downloads. -
I always knew SOC isn't the only one playing with other people's tracks. But at least this guy's a fan, even if he is breaking copyright laws.

No kidding. The comic strip is attractive in it's down to Earth style without the smoke and lights. In it's creation, the way Schulz sees life itself, it's very simple and unique, not shocking and "in-yo-face". That's like saying to Schulz "This is why Disney never hired you."
