Moseph
This thread is now about places in movies that you've been IRL. The Fugitive contains scenes shot in and near my home town, including the trainwreck and one of the hospital scenes.
Ronyn
Parts of Dumb and Dumber were filmed in my hometown of Provo. It's kinda hard to spot since it's the opening scene where he's driving her to the airport there's car accidents and explosions in the background, but that good ol' University Ave.
Flare4War
I quite enjoy they action in the Terminator movies. The store bores me a little.
Native Jovian
Parts of Water Boy were filmed at Stetson University, where I went to school. It's very disconcerting to see the magic of editing at work, where one scene shifts back and forth between places I recognize and places I don't. An example I can think of off the top of my head: in the scene where Adam Sandler is taking the high school equivalency exam, he's in a big empty auditorium-like building. When he walks out, he's on the steps of Stetson's student union building. The interior shot isn't the same building he's shown walking out of. I don't know what building that is, actually, but it's not on Stetson campus. The only other scene I can remember offhand as definitely being Stetson is the one where he sits near the window in a lecture in order to be able to look outside and see a fountain. I've had classes in that room. Some scenes from Smokey and the Bandit were filmed in my hometown, Jupiter FL. Burt Reynolds actually has a house in Jupiter. relyanCe
Some of the scenes in Punisher were filmed in the building where my mother used to work.

SenPi
The movie Christmas Rush was filmed in a mall in my home town. (That movie starred Dean Cain ) me and my father were actually Extras in that movie, though I dont think either of us actually made it to screen in any scene. Gario
'Gone in 60 Seconds' was filmed in my hometown - the bridge scenes are especially memorable, for me (I've crossed that bridge many times, as a child).
Red Shadow
Jeepers Creepers was filmed in Dunnellon Florida, right next to the high school I went to. I remember them ramping up the police presence at the adjacent middle school because of the director's pedophile history.
DrumUltimA
I go to school where "She's Not That Into You" was filmed. In fact, I watched them film some scenes.
Xenon Odyssey
One of the final scenes in Marley & Me was filmed at the intersection of Walnut Street and Broad Street in Center City, Philadelphia, an intersection I travel pretty much everyday when I go to school. Scufo
Parts of Mall Cop were filmed at South Shore Plaza, a big mall one town over.
Fratto
Just about everything in Walker: Texas Ranger. Parts of Prison Break. A 2009 film called Roslyn that I don't think ever made it out of production.
prophetik music
i grew up in buffalo, and i've played gigs around and in some of the clubs that terrell owens is being filmed in for that mtv show he's starring in.
OceansAndrew
I was an actual 14 year old mall rat and watched the filming of Mall Rats for the entire summer they were there. My sister was an extra.
Abadoss
My brother and I were extras for Music Within with Ron Livingston. Bandits was shot mostly here in Portland, from what I remember, as was the Hunted with Benicio Del Toro. Oh, and Mr. Holland's Opus was filmed here, too. ZealPath
Too many movies and shows to count have been filmed where I live, in Vancouver, BC, Canada (which is sometimes jokingly referred to as "Hollywood North") . But just to name a few, one obvious one is the first 5 seasons of the X-Files, with the final episode of season 5 actually having its story formally take place in Vancouver for once instead of just pretending it was any number of US cities. Movies, one humorous one is Rumble in the Bronx, which... was not shot in the Bronx, and, more recently, several scenes from The Day the Earth Stood Still were shot at the University of British Colombia. But there's a hell of a lot more where that came from!
Nekofrog
The classic 80s vampire flick The Lost Boys was filmed in and around Santa Cruz, California. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is HEAVILY featured throughout the entire movie, including the various shops and rides. Been there billions of times. KyleJCrb
Days of Thunder features a ton of shots filmed at Phoenix International Speedway, which I've been to many times. You can always tell when a scene cuts to that track because the walls at the time the movie was filmed were alternating blocks of red and white. It's really weird when the movie says they aren't at Phoenix, and yet at certain points just by looking at the walls, it's plain to see that they are. One race scene cuts between like 4 different tracks. I've driven by the building blown up at the end of No Code of Conduct countless times. More info on it. JH Sounds
There's a scene in Across the Universe that has some sort of psychedelic shop that sell bongs in the background. I went in there completely oblivious to its use as a film backdrop, and it turned out to be a grocery store with a faux front. Not that I was, er, looking for bongs or anything... ...but it was fun to finally see the shop in the film and get a sense of closure. The Damned
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyOuDGqHY1Q Filmed in my home town and current residence, Leduc, Alberta, Canada. It's been almost thirty years since that clip was made, but that Leduc Draperies store is still not only there, but they still have that exact sign! friendlyHunter
Too many movies and shows to count have been filmed where I live, in Vancouver, BC, Canada (which is sometimes jokingly referred to as "Hollywood North") . Hey, that reminds me... when I was in Victoria I took a walk near the castle/mansion where they shot some of the X-Men 2 dorm scenes (or the exterior parts anyway). But that was after they filmed it, and I might not have noticed if I wasn't told, so that probably doesn't count =/
PROTO·DOME
Probably doesn't count but the Bourne Ultimatum has a scene in Waterloo Station, London; I've go there a heck of a lot. It's awesome fun to spot what shops in the background I've bought stuff from.
Abadoss
Yeah, I wonder if historic landmarks (the kind that end up in every other movie) count in this game...
The Xyco
One Tree Hill is shot on campus here in Wilmington. Dawson's Creek was too. Everyone flips out when the filming crews show up here. I just trip over all the cables they snake around the academic halls.
