Revenge Round 1 Scores Ralphis: 21 WINNER Yoozer: 11 Doni: 10 Txai: 22 WINNER Revenge Round 2 Scores Neblix - 18 WINNER Cyril - 15 Txai - WINNER by default Revenge Round 3 Scores Txai - 13 WINNER Neblix - 4 Willrock - WINNER by default Revenge Round 4 Scores Willrock - Flash Man - 17 WINNER Txai - Magnet Man - 4 __ The year is 20XX, and the Robot Masters of the world have come together in order to fight for supremacy, but not with elemental abilities! No! They've decided to fight with a more potent weapon: PHAT BEATS, WAILIN' GUITARS, and OTHER SIMILARLY EPICALLY DESCRIBED MUSICAL ELEMENTS. So begins OCR's Grand Robot Master Remix Battle! How does it work? You, the remixer, choose any Robot Master from Mega Man 1-6 (NES), Mega Man 7 (SNES), Mega Man 8 (PSX) Mega Man 9 (DLC), Mega Man and Bass (SNES/GBA), or Mega Man Powered Up (PSP). Choose wisely, because this will be your Robot Master throughout the entire tournament. Once all competitors choose their Robot Masters, they'll be matched up with an opponent. When the round begins, remixers will have one week to write a "VS. Remix;" that is to say, a remix featuring the themes of their own Robot Master and their opponent's Robot Master. When the round ends, a public voting period of one week will be conducted for each battle. Voters should consider production, enjoyability, and how well the piece incorporates both themes. When the first round ends, winners will be matched up with other winners in the Champions Bracket, and the losers will be matched up with other losers for the Revenge Bracket. Participants in the Revenge Bracket can fight for the chance to battle the Champion at the end of the competition; this way, even if someone gets eliminated in the first round, they still have a shot at taking the title. After the first round, subsequent rounds will be conducted in two week cycles until only one Robot Master remains. The winner will be named OCR's Robot Grandmaster and will get like a cool sig or something, I dunno. Maybe we'll take the really stellar mixes and throw them on a project and do an album release or something; who knows? I'm not a remixer but I want to take part somehow. What can I do to help? We need sigs and artwork and stuff, so if you're good with the Photoshops, that'd be a big help. What about Mega Man X/Legends/Battle Network/Zero/ZX? This tournament is limited to the the main Classic series games. If this is successful maybe we'll organize a Grand Maverick Battle or a Grand Navi Battle. Can I be Dr. Wily/Dr. Cossack/Mr. X? Those guys aren't Robot Masters, so no, sorry. __ ARCHIVES: Mixes from Round 1: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mirror 3 Mirror 4 Mirror 5 Mixes from Round 2: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mirror 3 Mirror 4 Mixes from Round 3: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mirror 3 Mixes from Round 4: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mixes from Revenge Round 1: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mixes from Revenge Round 2: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mixes from Revenge Round 3: Mirror 1 Mirror 2 Mixes from Revenge Round 4: Mirror 1 Quote
Level 99 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Edit: I signed up too early. I was so excited I forgot how little time I have in January. I therefore give up the robot master I chose and wish everyone luck here. Quote
Archaon Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 If this is successful maybe we'll organize a Grand Maverick Battle or a Grand Navi Battle. The Navis had their own theme tunes? I wish I had the first clue how to remix, though, because this is a nifty idea. I'd love to personally see Cold Man to the top. Or Knight Man. Quote
Pavos Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Awesome idea! I'll wait untill the X series battle, however Quote
OceansAndrew Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 awesome idea! when does this start? I need to make sure i got time. Quote
DarkeSword Posted December 18, 2009 Author Posted December 18, 2009 First round is in January. For people worried about a time commitment, remember the mixes don't have to be particularly LONG. 2-3 minutes is good enough. Quote
OceansAndrew Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 my january looks busy, but not overwhelming. Me and my boy, Bubbleman will be busting this up. Quote
Dhsu Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Ooo, I like this. Much more compelling premise than the original RMRB. Looking forward to the entries. Quote
Fishy Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Go for it... I have exams at the very end of jan but literally nothing to do between now and then so I'll be more then prepared. Quote
Chernabogue Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 The idea really rocks, but I don't have the skill to challenge great mixers xD Good luck to everyone ! Quote

Arek the Absolute Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 This is an extremely awesome idea! So, do TimeMan and OilMan count since they were added in Powered Up and not originally in Megaman 1? Quote
halc Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 So, do TimeMan and OilMan count since they were added in Powered Up and not originally in Megaman 1? dibs on TimeMan Quote
ella guro Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Alright, me and my girl Splash Woman are gonna enter the ring. Hopefully I'll have the time/computer access next month edit: just as an aside, could you not use the name "adhesive boy"? My tentative remixer name now is "ella guru". Quote
