DrumJ8 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 YESSSSS :DDD I want to quote my post from June 2012 in which I called this the "feel good remix of the year" which I hereby carry over onto 2013! I was pleasantly surprised to see myself mentioned too Congratz Sir and FINALLY KID CHAMELEON gets some lovin' it deserves! Quote
spellmynamewithabang Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 holy shit, it's about time! i was just thinking about doing a KC mix, considering that there wasn't one on this site before, but here we go. i'm already rejoicing and i haven't even listened to the mix yet edit: and this mix turns out to be amazing good why aren't there more mixes this innovative on ocr Quote
Liontamer Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 why aren't there more mixes this innovative on ocr There are. Look harder. If you're reading but haven't listened yet, do yourself a favor and don't skip past this. Great stuff. Quote
DiGi Valentine Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I can't believe Jordan kept this quiet from me! XD (he probably knew i would fan-gasm over it) (which i have just done). Kid Chameleeeoooon at its SICKEST! Great work, man. Absolutely stunning remix! Love it! Quote
timaeus222 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Aw yeah! Neat detail work on this, loving it! I love the bitcrushed sweeps, wobbles, and vocaloid material. And what's wrong with perfectionism, bro? Quote
BlackPanther Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 This is some mangled goodness. Awesome work as usual Jordan!! Quote
metaphist Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 When Jordan mentioned he had a Kid Chameleon mix in the queue, I was excited, BUT I WAS NOT PREPARED! This is ridiculous, so FM and so fitting to the game. Constantly changing textures, like the character, constantly changing personas. A one of a kind mix, in more ways than one. I love it. Quote
SuperiorX Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Oh yeah, Jordan is the man!!!!! I think I may have heard a version or two of this over the years in the WIP forums, but I don't recall. Regardless, this song is beyond words... so many juicy instruments, delicious beats, and an unstoppable groove. Jordan continues to amaze me with each and every new song I hear from him. Keep it up! Quote
MC Final Sigma Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 This song is like an aural theme park where I'm fast-passing to the front of every attraction. In other words, awesome work as usual, Jordan! Quote
Argle Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Great song, crazy even, but there seems to be some capitalization problems with the title. Quote
Crulex Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 How many styles can you fit into one ReMix without sounding overly chaotic or messy? A ton, apparently. Kudos on that. Midway through, you really shine in on that groove and vocal clips where things even out and the whole thing comes off as a musical twister: has a lot of stuff in it but swirls around like clockwork and it works! Awesome ReMix, man! Quote
DrumJ8 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Oh yeah, Jordan is the man!!!!! I think I may have heard a version or two of this over the years in the WIP forums, but I don't recall. Yep I found the old thread from last year and you had commented. This track is so good, I can't stop listening to it Quote
Brandon Strader Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 This deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure makes a mean remix Quote
KingTiger Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 DUDE Sir J brings the FUNK and finally give KC (one of my most loved/hated Sega Genesis games with great music) some well-deserved love!!! This is great, I love all the crazy effects you used and the arrangement is great! Love dat bass and all those glitchies and and and HEAD ASPLODE also I noticed the "It goes a little somethin' like this, c'mon" vocal clip from the Fresh Beat Band Quote
DarkSim Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I was intrigued by the title, and then that Billie Jean intro drew me in. What happened next, I have no idea, but it was insanely awesome. How you can create something so seemingly chaotic and yet cohesive at the same time is beyond me, yet you've done it! Your influences are clear, and I approve wholeheartedly Quote
jnWake Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Awesome mix! Some parts are very funk! As always, great job Mr. Sir Jordanius Quote
Nearly Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Outstanding. Takes me back to Step of My Flowerbed by Nase. This is the stuff that you never hear anywhere but here. Quote
Black_Doom Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 This is genre chimera, sure. But it's actually a very beautiful chimera. This track never repeats even for a second, which is quite nice. With great ammount of funk, glitching effects and super tasty vocal clips, which set the right upbeat, head-bopping mood of this track, this is my favorite from Sir J. Quote
Another Word Awaits Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 After listening to this song, I can't hear anything properly. Everything is filtered through a groovy lens. Truly, my senses will never be the same. Amazingly innovative, funky, fun. Having read the original decision, I'm curious what the original sounded like. This was wacky, but never out of kilter or loose. I like how you brought things mellow in the middle, then slowly amped back up for the end of the song. Quote
