  1. As of 4pm EST, my EDM album featuring multiple genres will start releasing with 6 tracks over the next 2 weeks. The art and much of the sound design is inspired by the DOS game "Descent" for Windows 95. It was (and is still) influential in both mine and my brother's gaming lives, and I hope the love I have for the game is audible in each of the tracks as they release. You can download all songs for free on Bandcamp as they release, starting with Follow the Sky. https://treyt.bandcamp.com/album/darkness-falling You can also stream them on YouTube Music and Soundcloud as they release. Having finished this album, it's on to new projects. If you're new, seasoned, young, old, wherever you are in life, I'm open to collaboration and jolly cooperation! This is my first album-ish release as well, so constructive criticism of all tracks as they release is welcome.
  2. If so, I think I'd need @Sam Dillard's permission to do so --- and you could help me to convince him by leaving your upvote in the comments. The more, the better! I'd really be hyped if people in this community had an interest in a successor to Metroid: Organ Transplants and to let me build this 1h45m monster! IMHO, Sam's work is just BREATHTAKINGLY PHENOMENAL. However, sometimes you can add even more cherries on top of the sundae... ^^ Let's make this the world's most buttered and sugared icecream milkshake candybar piece of soundtrack awesomeness on this planet! EDIT I'm talking about his most recent album, Metroid Cinematica Recharged, which was released just a few days ago on July 1st 2020. Watch his release trailer here:
  3. Hi all, I'm proud to announce that my latest album, "Metroid: Organ Transplants" has entered the final stage of video production and is about to be released on Youtube, ContreBombarde and as free downloadable CD/DVD images around the New Years Day. What started out as an "accidental recording", over the past two months has grown into a personal tribute to the most stunning orchestral OC remixes attributed to the Metroid franchise: My third orchestra+organ play-along album contains nine OC remixes by various artists, all of them in a similar style, as if the original composers would have had a silent agreement that, one day, these pieces were intended to be put together. The glue between all of the tracks is suggested by the album title — they're all enhanced and backed by a three-manuals French-Romantic Cavaillé-Coll pipe organ, which I added on top by playing along in two live sessions (yes, I love plays on words, hence the album title). This adds even more drama, gravity and a bunch of particular highlights. Since the additional pipe organ track was recorded in 7.1 surround, the original OC remixes, which served as the re-remixing basis, were also upgraded to 7.1 to fit the setup. The recording and mixing process, credits research, video material research, storybook and composition, album art, media production, etc. took about three months of spare-time work — definitely my most ambitious project so far and an interesting first contact with DAWs in general and Ardour 6 in particular. The album will be available for download via my discography at http://en.wpoa.de/WPOA-MOT as a stereo CD image, as a DVD image with both a 5.1 surround sound and a 2.0 stereo track including a full 45min video cut of Metroid gameplay, cutscenes and artwork created by other people on the web (let's call it "the movie cut"), in lossless FLAC format with 7.1 channels (the "golden master") and will be accompanied by PDFs with cover/inlay/label artwork, separately for both the CD and DVD, which I put together for personal hardcopies that I usually give away to friends and family as a gift. Track list: Putting Down On Zebes (by @Protricity, part of https://ocremix.org/album/3) Footprints On Zebes (by @Slimy, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR03306) Kraid Begins (by @AJiLe, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01890) The Crimson Depths, (by @Sam Dillard, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02275) Into The Green World (by @Sam Dillard, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02515) Beyond The Glass (by @Sam Dillard, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02927) Mother Brain Suite (by @beckett007, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01675) The Galaxy Awaits (by @Nutritious, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01804) Mission Complete: Ending Suite (by @Sam Dillard, https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02648) The following album teaser video is available on my channel. Once the release is prepared, this thread will be updated with the final link to the YouTube premiere of the full album video (stereo only, since YT still doesn't support surround sound in their audio tracks). I'm eager to know what you think about it -- and, hopefully, I'm going to meet at least some of the original remixers at the premiere! Hope you'll enjoy the show!
  4. Hello friends! I'm pleased to share that, well, I did something I once thought I'd never do. I went back and remastered a whole bunch of my old remixes. Specifically, for the purpose of assembling and releasing a cohesive collection that I call Game Remix, Tracker Homage. https://mazedude.bandcamp.com/album/game-remix-tracker-homage-remastered A tremendous amount of work went into this (extracting layers from the tracker and mixing them in ProTools is a significant time spend), so I hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think! And Merry Christmas everyone!
  5. Final Fantasy VIII: SeeDs of Pandora - A Final Fantasy Album Project Director: @Darkflamewolf (Director of Arcadia Legends and Mizar Attacks!) This is Darkflamewolf - Director of albums: Arcadia Legends and Mizar Attacks! for the games: Skies of Arcadia and Jet Force Gemini respectively. There was once a Final Fantasy VIII album launched and attempted back in 2016 that has since fallen off the map and never touched again. I was recently approached by @djpretzeland @Liontamer to head up and direct this album and hopefully get it completed at long last. After much research, delving into past threads and posts, I figured the best way to do this is to relaunch it anew under a new brand and theming. Trying to build something from the ashes of a previous attempt would be a struggle and I feel providing something new and fresh for remixers to sink their teeth into would be best. Final Fantasy VIII was always the dark horse of the PS era of Final Fantasy games - it being the last of the bunch to get a proper remake for current consoles. Also makes sense that it also be the last to get a proper OCRemix treatment! So let's make it happen and bring something fresh and original to the table. Which leads us into... PROJECT CONCEPT : Part of my research led me to Pixel Mixer's full album take on the soundtrack as well as the Materia Collective and their album release around the time the OCRemix album was trying to take off. Listening to all their interpretations of the source material, I knew that for this album to sit apart from previous releases of the soundtrack, we needed to bring something new to the table. Something fresh and exciting - and that's where this concept comes into play. I am splitting up the soundtrack into 3 different genre styles: CALM - CRAZY - OFFBEAT/GOOFY. Let me explain each one: CALM - These are what you'd expect. This CD concept will have tracks that can typically be expected to be more soothing and calming. However, I wanted to add a neat addition to the theme: Since the entire game revolves around exploring the world and exploring different cultures (and there are a fair bit in Final Fantasy VIII), I wanted each song on this CD to have a cultural flair added to it. It can be either an instrument or two from a culture or just the way the song is structured. I don't care if it is Japanese, African, Norwegian, Russian, Indian, Arabic, Turkish, Korean, Australian - it just needs to be audibly recognizable as having that cultural vibe throughout the song. How you do that is up to you. Complete freedom beyond this theming. CRAZY - These are what you'd expect. This CD concept will have tracks that can typically be expected to be more upbeat, pulse-pounding, high octane affairs. It can be metal, rock, shred, EDM, you name it. I don't care which of these toe-tapping genres you put it in, I just want to feel it. Make it hard, fast, loud, crazy - go wild. These are the tracks I want to really turn up my speakers and just rage out to. Let the walls pound with the beat! Complete freedom beyond this theming. OFFBEAT/GOOFY - This is where things get interesting. Complete freedom of genre and style. The weirder and more off-the-wall interpretations you have of these tracks, the better. I want to be surprised and expectations of what the song could be blown away. I want to hear something nobody would expect going into a remix of these songs. Go wild, have fun, sky's the limit. Complete freedom in every sense of the word. Don't repeat what has been done before - do something fresh and new with these tracks! ALBUM UPDATE!!!!!!: So, Jorito and I do feel a bit bad about numerous folks being super excited, eager and motivated to claim multiple tracks - however, previous claimants from the first time this album was launched do have priority over those tracks up until Sept 12, 2021 since they claimed it first. It's the right thing to do to reach out to these remixers and see if they wish to still participate in something they were so passionate about joining back in 2016. When discussing the theming of the album and how the three main CDs were to reflect the nature of each of the Gardens: Balamb = CALM, Galbadia = CRAZY and Trabia = GOOFY/OFFBEAT (because Selphie!) - we came up with a question: What will happen to the Lunatic Pandora disc? Because Jorito and a few others liked that idea and theming as well. So an idea struck me: WHY NOT BOTH?! Why not have 3 primary GARDEN discs and then a fourth LUNATIC PANDORA disc where any genre from the first three discs can go (so no limits to interpretation there!) AND the 4th disc can be where any duplicate tracks can go! Now, for those who still are hyped to remix a track that a former claimant has reclaimed but instead have it be on the PANDORA disc, the three GARDEN discs take priority. I really want each remixer to pick songs not claimed to fill out the first three GARDEN discs. That's priority. Once that is finished, you can then go back and remix the track you also wanted to do that'd be a duplicate. Make sense? TRACK LIST As of 9/21/2022, we are finished with taking remixers and applications to claim tracks. Listed before is the current track line-up of completed tracks. GameroftheWinds 14 - And That's the End (Ending Theme) - Rockos feat. ChriskAudio QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: QUESTION: There are 74 tracks - are all going to be needing to remixed? ANSWER: No. I do not expect to have a full complement of 74 tracks that comprise the entire soundtrack to Final Fantasy VIII - however, I would like a minimum of 12 tracks for each CD theme - making a total of 36 tracks. I know it isn't a high bar to strive for, but trying to start up an album that has been languishing for years is a tall order, so I'm setting my sights on a more attainable goal. It would be nice to get them all, but I'm only asking for 12 per disc theme. QUESTION: I would like to remix a track, but not sure if I can meet the theme of the disc on my own. Can I collab with another remixer? ANSWER: Of course! In fact, I encourage many collaborations with this album! If you're awesome at piano, but need someone to give your track that cultural flair that I am hoping for in the CALM disc, then seek out someone willing to provide that for you! I'm excited to hear many collabs on this album. Likewise for the other two discs, if you feel you need to seek out other musicians for their talents to complete it, by all means, go collaborate! QUESTION: Some of the tracks don't seem to be in the right genre - like Eyes on Me is in the CRAZY theme? ANSWER: You're right! I deliberately put some tracks where they were for a reason. For example, I feel Eyes on Me has seen so many slow or smooth remixes and for once, I'd like to see us bring something new to the table with this OCRemix album by spicing it up in a way people didn't expect! QUESTION: What if I have a great idea for a GOOFY/OFFBEAT style, but the track is in the CALM theming. What do I do? ANSWER: Pitch the idea and more than likely, we can swap that track over to the disc of your choice and theming! Just because the tracks are in that theming doesn't mean they have to stay there! My only requirement was AT LEAST 12 tracks per theme. As long as I meet that bare minimum to make a full disc for each theme, I don't really care what tracks comprise what theme. So we can mix and match and this track line-up doesn't need to stay static! You wanna do Silence and Motion as a CALM waltz with sitar? Go for it! All I'm really asking for is to keep the themes so we, as a collective group for OCRemix, can bring something new to the Final Fantasy VIII remixing spectrum. QUESTION: What if I was a part of the previous attempt at this album? Does my claim and/or my track count? ANSWER: It sure can! Get with me ASAP and let's figure out together where we can fit in your track and if it is possible to update it to match the themes proposed above. You are more than welcome to submit the track to see if it fits in. Who knows? It might fit already in the three existing themes without much editing needed! But unless you tell me you want your old track claim back, I won't know if you're still on board. So let me know ASAP if you still want to do it and if you still like the theming your track is under or if you wish to change it to one of the other two. I'm willing to work with you! NOTE: I will be referencing the old forum post about who claimed what and will be giving those remixers priority over the next 3-4 weeks. After that time has past, I'll just assume you do not wish to participate anymore and will give the tracks to interested parties to remix. But I'd love if those who claimed before would want to come back to finish. QUESTION: Is there going to be a place to collaborate all the details of the project while in production? ANSWER: Yes! There is a discord server specifically set up for this album! So expect to get an invite when you join to come to the server on Discord! QUESTION: With the addition of this new, fourth disc - if a former claimant comes back to reclaim their track, can I still remix their track too? ANSWER: Of course! But your track won't be on the primary 3 GARDEN discs, instead, it'll be on the fourth 'bonus' disc, if you will, LUNATIC PANDORA. That and the priority requirement is to remix tracks that aren't going to have duplicates first for the 3 GARDEN discs. We need those filled up first before we start discussing claiming additional tracks that'll ultimately be duplicate remixed tracks for the PANDORA disc. Make sense? ---- Last note: I know this is such a huge shake up and everything regarding this album and I know some people won't be happy. I get that. However, I was personally asked to resurrect this project and this was the best way I've decided to breathe new life into this album. I hope you'll agree and be excited to bring something new, fresh and unheard of for Final Fantasy VIII! Let's be the darkhorse album this game deserves!

  7. Hey OCR crowd! Wanted to quick plug the newest Castlevania tribute album I ran, after last year's X68000 album. https://smarturl.it/thebelmontadventure It's what it says on the package; a tribute to the music from the first 2 Gameboy Castlevania games, Adventure and Belmont's Revenge. Again had a fantastic troop of musicians helping me create this album (Snappleman, Alexander Brandon, Viking Guitar, etc.), which I've wanted to do for a little while but never put into motion until earlier this year. It's got a bevy of genres - metal, rock, orchestral, jazzy prog, electronic from a bunch of remix artists and even a few game composers in the mix! I'm really proud of the variety and skill that was brought to this album while covering some of my favorite music from the series. It's released currently on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and more. Proceeds will go to Bat Conservation International to help endangered bat species and their habitats; because you can't have a Castlevania without bats!
  8. Hi friends! I just released my 5th album Search for a Lost Reality!! Search for a Lost Reality is a concept album that encompasses the search and discovery of our own true identity. 9. ==TURBODRIFT= POLL IS OPEN FOR RAINBOW ROAD THEME REMIX ! ==INTRODUCTION== TURBODRIFT is a Mario Kart ReMix Album project, consisting of 4 sets of 4 ReMixes, separated by 4 voice tracks introducing each set. Which puts us to 20 tracks. Each set is considered like a 'cup', there is 4 of them : "Mushroom Cup", "Shell Cup", "Banana Cup" and "Star Cup". ==CREATING THE ALBUM== ♫♪ This album is under some restrictions that MUST be respected so that we can live all together in peace. ♫♪ First, There is some rules regarding each cup: There is only one ReMix of any "Mario Circuit" VGM from any MK game available and it MUST be on the "Mushroom Cup" set. There is only one ReMix of any "Bowser Castle" VGM from any MK game available and it MUST be the last track on the "Banana Cup" set. There is only one ReMix of any "Rainbow Road" VGM from any MK game available and it MUST be the last track on the "Star Cup" set. However, the theme will be publicly voted and imposed to the ReMixer who choose this track. (Vote has ended on October 10th 2018 - Super Mario Kart Rainbow Road has been voted.) Each track must remix a different circuit theme, and not a different version. (To prevent SMK madness from the sets) Ex: If Donut Plains 1 is picked, there cannot be any Donut Plains 2 ReMix in the album. Location on sets will be decided between ReMixers. (Optional but prefered) Each Set should contain 4 different remixes, from drastically different circuits. This is not mandatory but it ads to the album's dynamic. You can pick any track from any MK game you want as long as it fits the rules here, it's first come first serve, make sure to write down your choice on this thread so that everybody can see it. ==RECRUITMENT== This album needs a total of 16 ReMixers, a voice actor and an illustrator. 10 Places remaining for the remixers. ReMixers : Awaiting position : --- Mushroom Cup: [Mario Kart 8 - Sunshine Airport] StarPhoenix [] --- [ xxx - Mario Circuit] Collab' [] --- Shell Cup : [ Mario Kart 64 - Koopa Troopa Island ] Ridiculously Garrett [ Mario Kart 64 - Sherbet Land ] Ronald Poe [] --- [] --- Banana Cup : [Super Mario Kart - Donut Plains] Smittenden [] --- [] --- [Super Mario Kart - Bowser Castle] TheChargingRhino Star Cup : [] --- [] --- [] --- [Super Mario Kart - Rainbow Road] Gario Voice Actor : --- Illustrator : --- The rule is: First come, First serve, so be fast before there is no more room. I'll be checking, but I'll be noting in the order of the responses in this thread. No PM, no mail or something, just reply that you're in and what circuit you're going to ReMix. If you want to do voice acting, send me a PM, I'll give you some instructions to see if you fit the role, and we'll see what we do. If you reply just after another member with the same track, you are in, but you'll be asked to change your source. If you don't choose a source, you'll not be considered as participating, so don't forget to choose a source. ==DEADLINE== FINAL DEADLINE IS FOR SATURDAY APRIL 20th 2019 - 12:59 PM CEST [ 05:59 PM EST] Inscriptions deadline is for Thursday January 31st 2019 - 12:59 PM CEST [ 05:59 PM EST] Submission deadline is for Thursday February 28th 2019 - 12:59 PM CEST [ 05:59 PM EST] Deadlines were extended, due to a lack of participants.

  11. It's that time again! Time to start thinking about Christmas as the temps climb to 100ºF+ around the country and people wax nostalgic about when it was cold... forgetting all the bitching they did about how cold it was, the snow, the ice, and all of that. And it's in that spirit... sort of... that we take our first step in getting this year's project underway. Soooooooooo... This project is open to any and all OCR members, regardless of whether you're a posted remixer or not. And now, the details... When's The Project Deadline?- December 20th, 2018 at 11:59 P.M. EST. This is now a REALLY hard, non-negotiable deadline, since it's very close to Christmas. We've had lots of last-minute entries and updates over the years and, to be perfectly honest, it shouldn't be that way. With months of time, having to hold off as long as possible for people made things pretty hectic for myself and Dyne in the past. Treating this project like a college paper that doesn't get worked on until the last minute got annoying rather quickly when it kept adding up to lots of hurrying year after year, with last second updates to artwork and retagging/reuploading things. As such, you have until one minute before midnight EST on December 20th to get me the final WAV or MP3 of your song. After that, you're shit outta luck until next year. I need time to do everything, including possibly making a little website to host this project if Dyne isn't online for one reason or another. So this deadline's set in stone... PERIOD. What Information Does The Coop Need?- When you send me your final versions, I'll need what name you want to use (real or remixer handle) and the name of your remix. You don't have to tell me what song you're remixing. Plus, if you have a website you'd like to pimp, supply that as well and I can add it to the MP3 tags. What Can Be Remixed?- Any song, really. Traditional Christmas carols, video game music, published music by a signed artist, music from TV/cartoons/anime... whatever gets your heart racing and into that Christmas spirit. This isn't an official OCR album, so you can draw from more sources than just VGM. Plus, you can take a non-Christmas tune, like the Main Theme from Space Harrier, Stage 6 Mission 2 from Metal Head, or I Defend STM from Truxton II, and turn it into a Christmasy one. So know that it's not limited only to songs that are Christmas-like to begin with. All that said, do keep in mind that if you want to submit your song to OCR later, you'll need to keep this site's guidelines in the back of your mind. But for this album, you can take it in just about any direction you want and get as crazy as you'd like (but please, no "Silver Bells" done in farts or something). How Long Can My Song Be?- As long as you want it to be. There are no restrictions on this, so whether it's 1:30, or 9:51 with a five minute guitar solo ala Metallica, it's all good. But again, if you want to submit your song to OCR later, keep their guidelines in mind. What Genres Can I Remix In?- Again, the door's wide open here. Rap, Metal, Pop, Piano-solo, Orchestral, Jazz, 8/16-bit, Barber Shop Quartet, A capella... it's up to you where you want to take it. What Format Should I Submit My Song In?- WAV or an MP3 of at least 192KB/s quality. I'll be tagging the MP3s and making MP3s from any submitted wavs, so you don't have to worry about that. But, if you'd like your website to be in the MP3 comments section, be sure to give it to me when you submit your song. How About A Little Music To Get Us In The Mood?- To help everyone along, here's a YouTube list of Christmasy tunes made by Ocre a number of years ago... http://ocremix.org/f...72&postcount=19 But remember, not all famous Christmas tunes are upbeat and cheerful. There are some that are more somber or haunting in tone, so you have more moods to play with than happy happy joy joy. What's The Website's Address Again?- It's got a new home at... http://williammichael.info/aocc/ This album will still be downloaded there as well, as Dyne will continue to host the albums on his site. How Do We Contact This The Coop Person?- If you've got questions, comments, concerns, want feedback, or your track is done and ready to be sent to me, you can PM me here on OCR, or send me an E-mail at thecoopscorner@gmail.com. Just be sure you remember to include a link to your remix. So yeah, there you go. You've got over five months to get something done for the lovely people of OverClocked Remix and the billions of listeners around the world who've become followers of our project. 12. We have an urgent request for a track to be converted to MIDI format for an artist. The track is Gilder's Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i38c83_TDZo Arcadia Legends is the project, an official OCRemix album. We are in fact almost done and aiming for a 2018 submission to OCR! You will be credited in some form on the album website, thank you!
  13. This is a Tribute Album to FFVI Music, featuring all the songs from the Original Soundtracks, rearranged and interpreted by 71 musicians from the Pixel Mixers Community! 58 songs, for 3h 25min of music This album features 3 “discs” called “Esper“, “Super Sanity” and “World’s Requiem“. We decided to share the songs in a way to create some “narrative arcs” between the songs, so the order is different from the OST. If you want a taste of our album before downloading, here is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5VFEbGCy-o Or if you want to learn more about it, here is the article on our website: https://pixel-mixers.com/2018/05/02/final-fantasy-vi-worlds-requiem-tribute-album/ It's also directly downloadable here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9t93furgsrtrkua/Pixel+Mixers+-+World's+Requiem+[Final+Fantasy+VI].zip Hope you'll like it, OCR Senpai!
  14. After several of my friends got me into Final Fantasy XIV, I fell in love with the game so hard that I've been playing pretty regularly for a year and a half straight now. The game has an incredible soundtrack, with over 400 songs, and I wanted to see an OCR album for it. Of course, 400+ songs is insane, to the point where this game has a legit Guinness World Record for the most original music in a video game. With that much music, and since XIV isn't the cultural touchstone something like VI or VII is (WHICH IS A TRAVESTY), I couldn't guarantee I'd be able to get enough interest in this for even the standard four-disc type OCR album. So instead we're going for a smaller, targeted idea here. The concept is simple: an album specifically for the area themes of the game. This includes city-states, towns, villages, the various zones you travel through, etc. I'm hoping to direct a sequel album in the future centered on battle/dungeon/boss/primal/raid/PVP themes, but let's see how this one does first. If you're interested, please look through the list of 47 potential sources below (cut down from my original list of 120, lol), complete with YouTube links, and if anything jumps out at you and you'd like to remix it for the project, let me know! Everything on a single line uses the same basic source for several in-game remixes, so I've listed them together, and you'd basically be claiming that one "melody" for a single remix, so to speak, rather than three or four different songs. If you're familiar with the XIV soundtrack and actually want to remix a source not in this list, and it's an area theme like the rest, then also let me know. I would like to see this released within a year, but I do not currently have any specific deadlines in mind otherwise. I'll decide that down the line, once I see how many people are interested in the project. 15. Hello friends and music lovers! A search of the Google has brought me here. I'm in the process of setting up my Kickstarter for my TCG. A project which has been in the works since about 2005 as a college project: Warriors of the Crystal. It's a loving homage to JRPGs like Final Fantasy with a job-based three party battle system to duel with others. Think if you put Final Fantasy and Magic the Gathering into a blender. (It's not THAT simple, but you get the idea.) Part of this whole thing is the lore behind the game, which includes a book and the soundtrack to the book. I already composed the soundtrack, which is based off classic Final Fantasy music, and I think it's pretty great. What I would like to offer my backers is something a little extra special when it comes to the music. I'd like to give them a second album, which is a remixed/arranged album of the music. That's where this great place comes to play. I would like an artist or artists to recreate the soundtrack in their own style, way, or whatever. I only have a few rules: It should be recognizable as the original song via melody or whatever. No vulgar language (Tryin' to be family friendly here. A damn or a hell is fine, but let's not drop the big bombs, please.) Titles are flexible, as they should be for remixes, but at least allude to the original title. Have fun and roll with it. I trust you all to do good work. (After all, that's why I'm here, right?) My music already is a mix of orchestral, choral, rock, and whatnot. (How much I would love to hear my final boss musics played with a real guitar. I could scream with glee.) But I digress. I want this to album to be as part of the lore as the original one. I will be able to pay, however, the problem is this all comes out of my paycheck. I'd love to pay all what this is worth, but at the moment I need to pay rent and eat, so my budget is shoestring at best for this. Here's a few of my favorites on the original soundtrack: Overworld ~ Our Grand Adventure Battle: Deos Alumantai The Corrupted Deos Temple Final Battle II: Savage Ambitions If you're interested, let me know. If you have questions, let me know. I'm willing to provide any more additional information I may have forgotten above, but I think I covered what I needed to. I hope you all at least enjoy the music, and have a fantastic day!
  16. So here's my thought, I've not seen any Monster Hunter music here and I'm a HUGE fan of Monster Hunter. I've been a mod of R/MonsterHunter for 5 years and a member it's full 7. I also run a Podcast Hunter's Hub https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLx9Kb87WU8stDtj-GJX11A so here's my proposal... I want to see a full remix album. I know it's a LOT but I think it would be really neat to see some kind of collaboration for a HUGE series with not a lot of musical appreciation outside of Japan. So my thoughts are an 11 track album that spans the 4 at this point generations of Monster Hunter with the 5th on the horizon Track 1 MH 1 the beginning -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Ha8GCv788 Track 2 the Rathalos (battle) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5UKn1SZlEc Track 3 Tirgrex -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvVf52XI1es Track 4 Nargacuga -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJvADPBVOX8 Track 5 Lagaicrus -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eyRBYoKp48 Track 6 Zinogre -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtPN7_6q2vA Track 7 Brachidios -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7PlOxyMQks Track 8 Gore Magala -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOY6ZDdK224 Track 9 Seregios -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLlpSjiKzso Track 10 Glavenous, Mitsune, Gammoth, and Aastalos mashup -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vMJRm-StSk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFFWEeBXr1o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_HFXuiI6E8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5EvSRnh32Q Track 11 Monster Hunter World -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCpmcpcMqZA I hope someone can do this I think it would be really awesome even to just get a few.

  18. Hello fellow ReMixers and OCR Community! I am pleased to announce the release of my third album Validation Paradigm. Clocking in at just over an hour (16 tracks) my third album encompasses themes of self-awareness and self-improvement while musically it is inspired by 70s and 80s synthpop/rock, VGM and EDM. Listen/Buy Link: http://smarturl.it/validationparadigm Summary of the album's message: Validation should come from doing things that make the world a better place and which would in turn make you feel good about yourself and thus validated. We must always seek validation from ourselves first and then from others. This is the core principle of my third album Validation Paradigm. Because every track is devoid of lyrics each track title represents an action or a concept of Validation Paradigm’s core principle. After validating ourselves the validation from others must come through positive actions such as giving, supporting, understanding and appreciating. Let’s all accept and support each other’s unique individual identities. Validation is not about agreeing but about understanding. That’s all someone needs to be validated. Enjoy and Happy Holidays Everyone!
  19. Hey everyone! So I'm a puppeteer, artist, novice composer and animator. Christmas is just around the corner and I had an idea for a stop motion animation based around one of the most underrated Rare games of all time: Grabbed By The Ghoulies. With a soundtrack by Grant Kirkhope: Playlist: The idea came to me when I was thinking of simple animations. I remember a while back they had Ron Swanson doing the "Yule Log" so I though doing a claymation of the game's final boss Baron Von Ghoul in a similar thing but call it the "Ghoul Log" accompanied by a compilation of the games best tunes arranged in the style of classic Christmas music. Its utterly bizarre and I personally think it would be hilarious to hear these halloween style tunes in such a merry way! The idea is to take these minor key songs and turn them upside down into a major key, sligh bell cacophony. Christmas music can vary in different styles. from orchestral, to pop, rock etc. So I encourage creative freedom. Not just instrumental but we could do some lyrical work too! I was wondering If anyone would want to collab on this? I can do all the album artwork, and obviously a stop motion with it too! I compose a tad of music too (NOTHING GOOD) so I can help with some musical ideas. I do write lyrics too. Some Ideas I had are: an orchestral overture medley, in the style of those Rankin Bass main title sequences of the Grabbed By The Ghoulies main theme The Ballroom Disco in the Style of Jingle Bell Rock The final boss fight (Red Baron 1 and 2) arranged in a lyrical song in the style of Snoopy's Christmas by the Royal Guardsman. Here are the best tracks in my opinion: The Main Theme Pause/File Select Skeleton Battle Haunted Coat Zombie Pirates Ballroom Disco Criven's Quarters Red Baron 1+2 I think 8 tracks is plenty but I'm open to any changes. Ideally I'd like to get this done for Christmas. Its a strange concept but I think it would be awesome and hilarious! Anyone interested? Feel free to ask any questions!
  20. Looking for a hobby artist (or anyone who would just be willing to accept credit as payment and work for funsies) who would be interested in creating cover art for my upcoming multi-genre concept album dubbed "Dorian's Enigma", a story about a little girl who confronts the trauma experienced during the murder of her parents in her dreams. This is a passion project of mine that I have been working on for the last two-three months. If you are interested in the idea and would love help, feel free to PM me or reply to this thread. I set a deadline for the project to be released on December 15th of this year, so we should have plenty of time to create something awesome! I am excited and looking forward to working with you, thank you! Here are some sneak peaks of the album (no song is finalized and I know for a fact that I will be rearranging one of those songs): I will be sending you much more of the project once you reply and we work things out
  21. So around the net there are a ton of places that offer custom vinyl pressings and I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on which one is the best for record/sound quality as well as quality of the slips. I one day want to make music and put it on vinyl, but I want it to be of the best quality possible.
  22. Hello all, I have been working on organizing an Ys album to commemorate the series' 30th anniversary. I've been looking for people interested in participating, so I thought I'd ask around here. Here are the details: 1) The submission deadline will be December 5. It is not necessarily a hard deadline, but definitely do try to meet it. After this, tracks will be mastered and the album should be released about two weeks later. 2) We use a first-come, first-serve track claiming system. Just tell me what track you're interested in and I'll add it to a spreadsheet. 3) The finished album will be uploaded to my channel and made available for download upon release, and I will actively promote it in communities I think would be interested, such as ones centered around game music, Ys, and RPGs in general. 4) You may release or upload your track(s) wherever else you wish after the release of the album. 5) I would like for the album to include at least two tracks from each distinct soundtrack in the series. To be specific, that's at least two tracks from each of: I II III/Oath in Felghana IV: Dawn of Ys V VI Origin Seven Memories of Celceta/Foliage Ocean in Celceta VIII (includes all tracks from the original release and PS4 added tracks, as well as the unused tracks) You can see the current state of the claiming spreadsheet here. 6) Medleys are allowed. Tracks are not required to be from the same game. 7) While you're completely welcome to select any track in the series that's not already claimed, at the moment we are especially hoping to find people who will do new tracks from Celceta and any tracks from V to ensure there'll be at least two tracks per game. Finished tracks should be submitted to me in 24-bit, 48 kHz, -6 dB WAV for mastering. 9) You are more than welcome to do multiple tracks if you feel you are able, but don't attempt more than you know you are capable of finishing to your highest standard of quality. 11) The album name will be determined in the near future, and the art created soon after that. I've made a Discord server for the project to help coordinate things. Here's a link if you think it would be useful. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me, here or in PM!
  23. I've been working on a new EP with lots of chiptune elements that will be releasing in December. I thought I'd share a little sample of it. The EP will be a mix of chiptune elements, acoustic piano pieces, ambient electronic music and analog synths. Hope you guys like it! I'll be updating pretty regularly on my channel as we head to release. Hope you all are having a great day!
