KyleJCrb Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) I think speaks for itself. A DuckTales remake being done by WayForward, with music by everyone's favorite Jake "virt" Kaufman. Sign me the hell up. Edited August 13, 2013 by KyleJCrb Quote
Dj Mokram Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Holy crab, done in the style of the anime with the theme song and all. This is a recipe for nerdgasm! Smart move from Capcom. Quote
Argle Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Wait, is that Jake singing? I was going to ask the same question. Quote
Theory of N Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Wait, is that Jake singing? No, that's the original song from the cartoon by The Jets. Or I'm wrong and he did an INSANELY good job at mimicking it. But my money's on the former. Also this completely made my day when I heard about it. I already started up my DuckTales fund to buy this when it is released. Quote

Oh thank god, I was about to commit suicide over how freaking talented Jake is. lol. Quote
CC Ricers Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) DuckTales re-master announced as ex-WayForward employees run Shovel Knight Kickstarter? Wassup with that? Edited March 22, 2013 by CC Ricers Quote
k-wix Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 My hype for this game is directly proportional to the amount of moonsong that is contained within it. I don't think I saw any of the moon stage in the trailer... there had better be one. Quote
Native Jovian Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Dear Capcom, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. Love, NJ Quote
zircon Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Actually I'm pretty sure that's a different recording of the theme. If you A/B it: It sounds way higher fidelity and some of the sounds like the EP aren't exactly the same. Not sure if Jake remade it but I wouldn't be surprised. Quote
Garpocalypse Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Oh man why does my youth always come back to haunt me like this?! Please let me grow up!! Such awesomeness could only be surpassed by a remake of Talespin or Biker Mice from Mars. Quote
Devyn Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Holy mother of ****. Can I go ahead and pay now? Quote

That was what made me doubt it was the same thing at first. But I used to listen to a better recording of it ALL the time in my car. So I searched a bit more and found this one: Edited March 22, 2013 by Theory of N Quote

Crowbar Man Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Well, I'm very excited. Wish it was 2D instead of 2.5D but at least those are some beautiful sprites. Can't wait to check this out! Quote
The Damned Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 My hype for this game is directly proportional to the amount of moonsong that is contained within it. I don't think I saw any of the moon stage in the trailer... there had better be one. It's Capcom. The Moon level will be $15 DLC. Unless it's not, in which case, Capcom, don't do that. That's dickish even for you. Quote
Argle Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I emailed Jake, and no, he had nothing to do with the song. I'd copy the email, but I'm on my phone and I gotta go get painful surgery in a few minutes, so it'll have to wait. Quote
Mirby Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 This almost looks like what the original was supposed to be if it weren't for hardware limitations. I mean, it feels like it's right out of the show! :3 Quote

I really really really really hope that this does not happen. Because that would be even more money out of my wallet. It did look like there were some additional levels and scenes put in, so hopefully one pop and no dlc. Also, capcom....You have Wayforward at your disposal. Time to get Mega Man and/or X series back off the ground. If you won't let Inafune do it then let these guys do it. Mighty Switch Force proves Wayforward could nail the Mega Man series with little hand-holding and I would love to see what Virt could do with some Mega-tuneage. Quote
