zircon Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 You heard it, folks. Our very own Beatdrop will be on the next DDR title from Konami, with his song "Until Forever". He did this through a Broadjam contest and snagged $1,000 in the process... as well as some extra attention from Konami for future work, I'm sure!!! Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS and major props to him and y'all DDR players can look forward to hearing some goodness from our favorite industrial remixer/former judge. Movin' on up! PS. Check the song out on Beatdrop's new album "In the Dark", available here: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8767 Quote
atmuh Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 oh heck freaking YES I knew when I posted that someone from here could do it! Quote
Blake Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Oh my god. This is the fourth thread of someone's success. I HATE YOU ALL. Really though, congrats so much Beatdrop. I can't wait to get owned by your song. Quote
Chickenwarlord Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 If only we could work Heterodyne Principle in there... Quote
The Joker Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 WOOOOOOOO! Can't wait to tell people, "I heard him, before he sold out." Which basically means, heck yes, mainstream-ism. Home of the big bucks (one day, I'll get there... one day). Quote
Bigfoot Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Awesome, congrats. I'm assuming a home version of DDR? Quote
DragonFireKai Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Dammitt, now I need to pick up DDR out of Internet Loyalty. Quote

HalcyonSpirit Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Congrats, Beatdrop!!! I'm gonna have to make it a point to pick up this DDR game when it comes out! And I'm surprised no one has posted this yet: Quote
watkinzez Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Nice work indeed. That reminds me of some similar mentionings on VG Frequency. Wasn't Beatdrop involved in the production of a DDR clone? Did that ever come to fruition? Quote
Bundeslang Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Great, for OCR and for Beatdrop. Nice work. Quote
Beatdrop Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Actually, from what I've been told, it's to be used in the next arcade version of the game (Supernova 2) as well as home versions, likely PS2 and Xbox 360. I'm as excited as everyone else. Looking forward to finally having a reason to memorize a song. As for the DDR clone which was mentioned, it's still in the works, but almost certainly going to be finished, and that features a whole bunch of my stuff, including some songs from 'In The Dark.' I'm starting to get used to receiving envelopes in the mail from Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. Got one today that returned my copy of the contract with the CEO of Konami's signature on it. Pretty surreal. Thanks, everyone. Quote
The Instrument of GAWD Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 WOW, this is alot cooler than pixietricks thing! J/k... kinda XD Guess this means OCR is growing up then. Quote
