  1. Something I wrote and did a while back. I'm playing the flute, and I wrote the background music. If I recall correctly for the background music, used notation software to command a Roland keyboard, and recorded the result.
  2. Please check out my song Rainy Day and tell me what you think
  3. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10kfzmuJDH219sAaJClFQAJbfra_pOSLz/view?usp=sharing Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here and my second attempt at remixing so I'm looking for some feedback. This song, the Lanayru Harbor music from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, may seem like a weird choice but the song always stuck out to me. One day it dawned on me that smashing the song Augusta, GA by Into It. Over It. and the Lanayru Harbor song together might yield something cool. Well, this rock remix is what came out of it. I'm particularly looking for feedback on the mix since that is something I've never been good at. Also, the song is pretty short, but both of the source songs are pretty short and I couldn't come up with anything to add length that didn't sound forced. Thanks!
  4. Guitars by @Furorezu and bass by @Furilas Thanks, guys! Feedback on the mixing will be very appreacited. Thanks. REMIX: https://www.dropbox.com/s/doio4d9cm5medj7/GS - Full Moon.mp3?dl=0 SOURCE:
  5. Hey guys, another contribution done by my Video Game Music collective REMEMBER CITADEL, this time turning the Main Theme of BF4 into a more Epic Rock version: Feel free to comment and stay updated by visiting our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband/?ref=bookmarks Cheers Stefan of RemCit
  6. Hi! I finished my new cover. It's End of the Dark from Policenauts game. The soundtrack has awesome 80's 90's feeling and i wanted to bring it out more in this arrangement with my style :D. Feedback is appreciated :). Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  7. Yo! I uploaded new cover on YouTube. Time for some tactical cardboar...krhm i mean espionage action! :D. In this arrangement, i focused more on drums so i could bring some 80's or 90's feel for it. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  8. Hello! I finished new cover for Pokemon - Bicycle Theme. I recorded some strings to spice my lead guitar parts, so the whole arrangement would sound much fuller. Feedback is welcome :)! Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  9. Yo! I published my first collaboration cover with Arzie Van Dee :)! It's Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Castle Theme. Our cover has quite a lot improvisation and original touch, which bends the original theme into a new direction. All feedback is welcome and appreciated!! =) Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  10. Hi! This is my first remix! I picked Volley Fire because I thought no one else would have made one (I was wrong) and I would therefore be free from judgement of my ability (hopefully not wrong) First I have to apologize for a couple things. 1. I'm using Finale, which is for writing music, not producing it. Therefore the instruments sound bad, particularly the guitar. 2. Finale is being a trash fire to me so I can't properly export it so the quality of sound is really bad. 3. It probably could have used a 3rd solo before the big ending, so it might feel like a rushed ending. With all that aside, hope you enjoy this.
  11. Hi all. Super new. First post ever on OCR Also sorry for SUPER JANK recording style. Finale screwed up real bad when I tried to import soundfont so all my VST instruments sound like a single instrument. This also happens when I try to import it, so I had to phone record the inferior MIDI sound. Anyways, the game is a versus puzzle game, sorta like Tetris attack or Gem Fighters or something. I'm writing the music for the game, which is super duper not close to being done, but I'm getting through character themes and eventually going to do a menu track as well. Lemme know your thoughts, and I suppose as I put them out, I'll upload other character tracks here too.
  12. Alright, I can't stop with all the ideas, I'll never get anything done at this rate. I'll make this into an arrangement of History Unfolds from Soul Calibur 2, and hopefully I'll find someone to do guitar for this. Remix: Azure Lightning Strikes (History Unfolds ReMix) Source: EDIT: I'm editing the drums now to make it more interesting, I know the arrangement is fairly short, but so is the source, I know the source usage here is sparse even though that part that I wrote uses the main chord progression just very very different rhytmically, I dunno hopefully this'll be good.
  13. As one of my favorite video game composers, I had to remix a Naoki Kodaka ("Blaster Master"/"Batman"/"Raf World") piece at some point. Here's something I'm currently working on, inspired by one of many beautiful tracks taken from Sunsoft's SEGA Saturn RPG -- "Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean": It's still drafty, but feel free to share feedback and advice while friends and I work on arrangements and lyrics writing EDIT: Lyrics (ver. 1.0) are now available in the SoundCloud description of the track.
  14. Hi, everyone. Aside from a few entries on one of the ongoing album projects, It's been too long since I last submitted any remixes to OCRemix. I'm looking to change that. Here is a rough draft of a remix of Midna's Theme and Boss Defeated tracks from Zelda: Twilight Princess: Rough Draft: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7eDlUZW1lSlUyTDg/view?usp=sharing 1st Revision: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7c1pBLThUUldHS2M/view?usp=sharing 2nd Revision: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7bGtwWjlvV1VnWTA/view?usp=sharing Original tracks: A few particular things I'm looking for feedback on are: 1. The transition at 0:42. My aim was to create the feeling of suddenly waking up from a dream, but is the transition too abrupt? 2. Is the arrangement too conservative? 3. From 2:48-3:28 does the mixing get too crowded as more instruments are added? That has been a weakness of mine in past tracks. If there are any other issues with the track, I would most certainly love to hear feedback on them. I know the english horn sounds a bit wonky and I've been working at it to tighten it up, but sometimes it feels like CineWinds has a mind of its own. Thank you for listening!
  15. Hey guys, just submitted something I've been working on for a while. Couldn't get the Rainbow Road theme out of my head so decided it was time to take the guitar to it and do a cover. https://youtu.be/0iFy4PJ35aI
  16. Recently, a mix I posted back when I knew very little about production was just recently reviewed by the judges, and I'm fixing the issues that were prevelant. Knowing what I know now, I hope I can fix all the issues and resubmit it. Reviewed Mix: New Mix (In fixing progress): The Boss is Back in Town ReMix Source: If anybody could compare the original to the new remix and see if you think I improved on the judges critiques or not, that would be awesome. Thanks to anybody offering insight! (I'm not done with arrangement or production just yet.)
  17. In a world where Mega Man 7's intro theme and Big Blue are combined - Mega Man kicks Captain Falcon's ass and joins the F-Zero Grand Prix... Lyrical idea given by @OceansAndrew over on Twitter when I was agonizing over it. I've been screwing with this for awhile, any comments on the mix before I submit it to the hallowed halls of OverClocked ReMix I'm always down for FEEDBACK! Source1 source2 Download for those who want it vs YT video: http://bit.ly/megafalcon Lyrics: High speed racing Burned in his blood But now It's in my circuits I feel the need for speed I push on the throttle Rock it like a shuttle Roll into first place I will never lose a race Pun ch through the sky, like a falcon above It mirrors the endless sea below me Kick through the pack Come up from the back I don't think I'll be the same Adrenaline flowing' Or at least I assume so Show me your moves So I can show you mine And Keep you in second place I'll take the first with grace You might get small taste In this battle and chase! I received this power by winning a fight So I may as well put it to good use! Punch through the sky, like a falcon above It mirrors the endless sea below me Kick through the pack Come up from the back I don't think I'll be the same I received this power by winning a fight So I may as well put it to good use!
  18. We want to thank the Community for allowing us to post here and be critiqued. We also want to thank everyone who supported us and helped us to get here. we want to thank our Producer at Rogue Studios. This is a track from our upcoming album, TBA
  19. Hey guys! Just looking for some general feedback on this remix. I'm at that point where I'm not too sure what else to be adjusting / paying attention to. I feel like the arrangement / mix are in pretty solid spots, but I usually end up forgetting about / missing something. Always good to have another pair of ears. Of the top of my head, I know I want to go back to a few of the synth parts and make 'em a bit more entertaining to listen to / more dynamic. (Also heads up, I think listening to the stream on box distorts the sound a bit) Thanks in advance for your time. https://app.box.com/s/a2gcbj5uau85sn6mlx0kb5xog16dscm5
  20. So I am really stepping out of my orchestral/classical background with this game. The game is a challenging space racer title and the director of it really loves synthwave so I made sure the synthetic sound was in every track. However, I wanted to use acoustic sounding elements mixed in. My influences for this are Masashi Hamauzu and 65daysofstatic (No Man's Sky). These tracks are in their very VERY early stages so I plan to make changes. I hope those that listen really enjoy the music and maybe leave a comment to critique.
  21. Check it out and leave some feedback! Thank you
  22. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qfcp96uffyfv4yv/Rocket Knight Boss.mp3?dl=0 I've wanted to do a RKA remix for a while, either of the boss, Pig Star or the auto-rocket area of stage 1. I'm gonna settle for starting on the boss for now; I'll see about the other themes. Volumes aren't leveled so watch your ears. I started with the meat of the theme, and I'm working backwards to get a good intro in, as working Intro-forward wasn't working out for me. Electric guitars always give me trouble so if you've got some good crit on making them exciting, I'm all ears.
