Darth Lime
I've seen quite a few of them. They leave me thinking more so than action movies or dramas. Discuss.
Gollgagh
I liked Memento.

FiremanJoe
haha. i loved donnie darko. I wish that book was real cause i wanna read it. Oh man, I watched that for the first time just two nights ago! It was amazing. O_O and I wanna read that book too! (Check out the album The Tangent Universe by Mood Deluxe; psychedelic breaks with some obvious Darko influences =P)

Sinewav
There's an indie film called "The Stratosphere Girl" that I really enjoyed. I'd highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it. It's about this girl who randomly packs up and goes to Japan. She starts to investigate this "mystery" and illustrates it in the form of comics. The thing is, you're never quite sure if what you're seeing on screen is "reality" or the main character's over-active imagination filling in the blanks. The whole movie has this calm, yet disturbing tone.
Kenobio
Highly recommended.
Rozovian
Cube. Aside from questonable math, it's a scary scenario. The sequel is asinine, but #1 is great!
Skrypnyk
I kind of liked Cube Zero better then Cube, if only because it made a little more sense. I don't care who you are, I doubt anyone would come to the conclusion that math girl did in "figuring the traps out". Although I will say Hypercube sucked some sort of fatty rectum. Also, the original Saw is great.
chrono26
Memento is my favorite movie and its a great film noir style psychological thriller. Insomnia is excellent as well. I too prefer drama type movies over senseless action movies.
RedTigrr
Se7en and Mr. Brooks are two great movies that fall in that category. I still gotta get Se7en in my movie collection.
Rozovian
I kind of liked Cube Zero better then Cube (...) Although I will say Hypercube sucked some sort of fatty rectum. Cube - good plot, scary scenario. Hypercube - fatty rectum^5 Cube Zero - can't agree with Skryp before I've seen it
Nulion
Hmm, how about Jacob's Ladder? Or Pi, or The Machinist? Ahh, good times...good times. Really, they're all great, strange and interesting movies.
Red Shadow
Kubrick films in general are very good examples
SynthesizedStampede
Hmm...well there is that movie "Open Your Eyes". Besides seeing Penelope Cruz topless, it was a delight to watch considering it made me think afterwards. Has anybody seen it? It confused me >_<
Darklink42
Gone Baby Gone (which came out on DVD recently). Guaranteed to make you go WTF? and also guaranteed to leave you thinking at the end, one way or another.
Atomicfog
Yes, psychological thrillers are often great. I've seen almost every movie recommended so far, and almost every movie recommended so far is awesome. In addition I highly recommend Primer and Collateral . I'd also like to specifically second Being John Malkovich (especially), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, and Cube, Saw (only the original) and Memento. Or Pi, or The Machinist?Ahh, good times...good times. Really, they're all great, strange and interesting movies. I really need to watch Pi, I have it, I just have to get to it. The Machinist was decent, but I preferred Fight Club, and The Machinist seemed like a Fight Club rip-off, so I'd recommend Fight Club instead. Once you've seen one, you the other will be completely predictable.

Fishy
I remember seeing Pi years ago, and it giving my brain a good fucking, but I can't remember anything about it except it being about a wall street equation and a drill. Either way I couldn't sleep well for about a week after it, so yay.
Tock
Dark City. Just try not to get too outraged at the Matrix while watching it.
Cecilff2
Dark City is pretty neat. Do watch. Most everything else I can think of has been said already.
