  1. Hey guys! This is my take on the Stickerbrush Symphony theme from DKC2. I went for a Joe Satriani feel on the overall track, I hope you guys like it! https://drive.google.com/open?id=15bq3BVBAGtGuEGPSmdlFuQ5oAi8XNPI_
  2. Someone please make a J-Pop genre remix of this song.

  4. Hey guys! I went for a 70's progressive rock vibe on the Mining Melancholy song from DKC2. I would really appreciate some feedback on my remix! Thanks in advance! Here's the track https://drive.google.com/open?id=19bdhBVMXV2Yw4JNO0EJePApFyERmksLt
  5. Hi Everyone ! "Mario & Luigi Partners in Time Sountrack Remastered II" is an album of remaster music of the game of the same name. This is my favorite game of this franchise ! (it's number 2 because I had already done this soundtrack in the past) Original Composer : Yoko Shimomura Thanks to AlphaDream and Nintendo for this amazing game ! I hope you like it ! https://remygouxproduction.bandcamp.com/album/mario-luigi-partners-in-time-soundtrack-remastered-2
  6. Hello Everyone ! "The Great Video Game Orchestra" is an album of remaster music of my favorite video games. I have been working on it for about a year. I hope you like it ! https://remygouxproduction.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-video-game-orchestra-vol-1
  7. Any help would be appreciated. I got this video from a Hyperspin frontend and i absolutely love this beat. I'd like to know who made it and if they have any more material. I've tried Shazaam and the other similar services but they have no idea and there also isn't a proper title. I asked the uploader where he got the song and he doesn't recall. Thanks for any help fellow Audiophiles! https://streamable.com/1m3y5
  8. Hey there! I'm a big fan of the Animal Crossing series and the music is a huge part of why I love it so much. I recently collaborated on an arrangement of the 8PM music from Wild World, which is one of my favorite pieces in the series. It's such a simple and sweet tune, and we decided to give it a little bit more of a live feel. I'm using an Arturia Beatstep Pro to drive the drums and the Soniccouture Canterbury Suitcase EP VST for the keys. A full gear/software list is in the video description.Last but certainly not least, the wonderful Ifnot provided the guitar performance, including that wonderful solo at the end It was a blast to make. I hope you like this little rendition.
  9. Hey everyone! I recently had some success with a Zelda themed chillout mix, and I'd like to get to work on the next big thing as soon as possible. I've had a few ideas kicking around, and I think for the next mix I'd like to do a Nintendo-only remix collection. I also kicked around the idea of doing it genre themed, like an RPG Lofi mix or Platforming mix, so if there is more interest in one or the other I'm open to ideas. So you can get an idea, here is the most recent mix I did: I'm happy with it but I would like to be a little more picky about what songs go into it this time around. This mix was very general "chill" music with several genres included, but this time around I want to narrow the genre and overall mood down a little. What I'm looking for: +Remixers interested in creating some high quality lo-fi, chillhop, jazzhop, vaporwave, etc. remixing Nintendo exclusive games. Can include remixes from Mario, Zelda, DK, etc. and even other Nintendo 2nd party exclusives like Xenoblade Chronicles. +Mix totalling around 60min +In typical lo-fi style, tracks don't need to be super long, but I'd say 2 minutes per track minimum +Anyone interested in helping out with art related to this mix Let me know if you're interested! NOTE: I'm also fine with using existing remixes if you have them, but it would be even better if we could have tracks created with this mix in mind.
  10. AdamH - Merk Mansion AdamH - Grime Industries Lemme know what's y'all think to these Adam
  11. Hi everyone ! I am currently redoing the soundtrack of the famous game "Mario & Luigi Partners In Time". I hope you will like the end result !!
  12. https://labo.nintendo.com/ It's kind of like how, when I was a little kid, my mom taught me how to use a hot glue gun. I used old show boxes and popsicle sticks to make forts and shit for my toys. but, you know, without a Switch and for about $US 70 more than I ever did. Though, that robot suit one is pretty cool. It's a super cheap VR solution for wanting to punch things with a giant robot. EDIT: It seems to be pronounced Lab-oh. Labo.
  13. I'd like to submit my recording and arrangement of the final theme from The Adventures of Lolo. It's a kick-ass tune and I've arranged all of the original notes to be played live on the piano. So, in that regard it's extremely conservative. Performing all three voices live and accurately is, I think, innovative. I would like some feedback on the recording quality and mix. I used three mics - 2 Octava 012s in facing left and right inside the piano and a Rode NT5 just outside the piano facing the strings. There is some light compression and reverb. Here is a video of the recording - And here is my version - Thanks for watching and for any feedback! Rob
  14. Hey guys, I recently completed an arrangement of Song of Storms for solo piano. Still polishing up the sheet music, but I will release it eventually. I love the original tune and I really think its one of the most memorable pieces in video game music history. With my arrangement, I wanted to expand the piece a little bit harmonically and add some delicate ornamentation in the melody. The end result felt more like a piece of Breath of the Wild, than something from Ocarina of Time. I'm considering doing versions of all the ocarina tunes from the game in the future. I think it would be fun to expand on them in a similar vein. I had a lot of fun working on this, and I hope you guys enjoy it too. Thanks for listening!
  15. Yesterday, August 25th, was the 20th anniversary of one of my favorite games, Goldeneye. I got it for Christmas as a kid, and It was the first game I ever owned. I must have played that game for hundreds of hours, both single and multiplayer, loving every minute of it. Of course it helps that I was a huge James Bond fan, but even to this day it's one of the games from my childhood that I have the most fond memories of. What stuck with me the most though, as the years passed by was the music. So to celebrate the games 20th anniversary I decided to "Remaster" the entire soundtrack. I used something called N64midi tool to extract the original game midi and imported it into FL studio, that way I could perfectly match the rhythm and individual note length of each track, instead of just playing it by ear, which I'm not very good at. It took me about three months to get this project finished in my spare time, most of the time spent mixing and carefully picking the right instruments to strike a balance between mirroring the original sound and making it sound like the tracks were recorded with real instruments. I even got so inspired that I wrote a new original track in the style of the games soundtrack. I've uploaded the whole project onto my newly started YouTube channel, along with links to mp3 files in the description of every track. I really hope you guys enjoy my work as I have enjoyed listening to the various works posted to this site over the years.
  16. I desperately need more "Resident Evil" remixes... or an official OCR Album -- a man can only dream But for now, I want to see how far I can go with this piece of my own. Inspired by Tony MacAlpine's "Tears of Sahara", I'd like to see if I can come up with a sweet rock ballad version of "Sleeping Beauty", which I fell in love with. Original: Remix: I need to reach some friends of mine in order to help me record the final version. In the meantime, feedback is very welcome
  17. Time for a 4th teaser of my VGM remix (or covers, whatever you want to call it ^^) album! CAN I GET SOME ZELDA LOVE? Please subscribe to my YT channel, muchos gracias guys!
  18. Another day, another WIP, another song (to become) ^^ This is a heavily arranged version of the Staff Roll BGM from "Wild Guns". I'm not gonna lie -- this is clearly inspired by W.A.S.P. and their original masterpiece "Wild Child" as well as its Battle Beast version. There's also a bit of Toshiharu Yamanishi and Hyakutarou Tsukumo influence in there too for all you "Thunder Force" fans Currently in the recording/polishing state but I guess I might also take in consideration some feedback already before it's too late to change anything. Original: Remix: Enjoy and comment
  19. I've been working on video game covers and arrangements for the past couple years. I mainly focus on orchestrations, but I like to experiment with all sorts of styles. After about a year of working on and off, I've finally finished my first major project: an album of arrangements for the game Kirby & the Amazing Mirror! While it is by no means perfect, I'm proud of it. That said, I would love some constructive criticism and feedback to help me for future projects. Things worth noting: -I use FL Studio and Kontakt 5, and the main audio library I use is the Kontakt Factory Library -The album has 20 tracks in a variety of styles; some stay very true to the original while others are my slightly different interpretations -I really went out of my comfort zone with the rock-style tracks. My guitar samples aren't the greatest - I tried to make do with what I had - so bear that in mind -My biggest struggle comes with the mixing and mastering and general post-production aspects. Any tips about what I could do better in that area would be greatly appreciated Thanks for taking the time to read/listen! I hope you enjoy it and look forward to some feedback!
  20. Hello everyone. Long time OC remix appreciator, occasional poster, and overall easy going guy Today I'd like to share with all you lovely people at OC remix something of my own idea.... even though the concept may already be similar to what some other youtubers have done, however with my own unique flare on things! So the purpose of this thread, is obviously to get some constructive feedback, on ways I can improve it, or thoughts, if you love the series, well that's awesome, I'm doing something right aren't I? Essentially I play a game picked at random by a spinner designed by my wife, graphics work done by me, and then I play that game for approximately 10 mins, using Shotcut as my video editor and Audacity as my audio recording software, edit the video, then add my commentary in after doing the edits. However I try and leave in as many stuff ups, screwups and deaths as possible to make the game more real, I tend to just remove loading screens, dialog, or anything that takes away from the actual gameplay itself. The reason I do that? Well I believe it creates a more realistic feel to the video that way. Initially I thought of an idea, and was going to call it throwback thursdays... then was told that this idea was tried TOO often, or too mainstream / wouldn't work, I have a small following on twitter, so I put out a vote on a new series name, and the name Casual couch gaming won. So here ladies and gentlemen, is a link to my Youtube series of Casual Couch gaming, which I update weekly with new videos. Now this isn't just a shameless self promotion, I also wanted to talk about the concept of a spinner, no I'm not talking about fidget spinners.... get out of here with that nonsense... I already have the spinner designed and have used it as seen in the series, I've since done a visual overhaul to the spinner slices, and had my wife whom is a coding goddess make some major changes to it visually. Do you think an informational video showing the first version, and now the polished final product would be interesting or nah? I really want to share my story, or at least be proud of my work, like yes my wife did the coding, but I had to do the leg work of sourcing the images, and logos, using GIMP photo editor to create each slice individually, was an arduous task, and I rushed it initially... but I wasn't happy with it, so I redid the pieces all over again, with better quality and more patience than the original spinner. Anyway I don't want to make this post TLDR. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions! From your casual gamer Magnus_Tsunami

  22. Hey guys, just submitted something I've been working on for a while. Couldn't get the Rainbow Road theme out of my head so decided it was time to take the guitar to it and do a cover. https://youtu.be/0iFy4PJ35aI
  23. Hi all. I arranged the Heat Man theme from the NES classic Mega Man 2 for 3 classical guitars. Enjoy. By the way, I'm new on OCR and didn't find a topic specifically for instrumental covers. If one exists please let me know and I will re-post. EM
